ANOTHER 005EP
|
On Pazuzu EP, Tadeo explore the behavior of one of the most iconic elements of the ancient gods. Pazuzu EP approaches the idea of the wind and what it offers to the world in different cultures: good and bad news, illness, health, and fortune and misfortune. These are some reactions offered by Pazuzu to his followers and they are manifested here as new sounds in Tadeo´s palette, more analog and raw as they continue with different digital experiments and expressions.

NONSERIES 024EP
|
After Tadeo's last album (NONSERIES 021LP, 2016), Non Series presents Chronicles of the Future Remixes, explored by a fine selection of artists: Abdulla Rashim, Silent Servant, Efdemin, Function, and Pris. The A side is brightly remixed by the Swedish Abdulla Rashim who delivers a progressive and hypnotizing machinery techno on "The Net". LA-based producer Silent Servant adds an industrial aspect to his version of "The Need Of Development". On the flip side, Berlin's interdisciplinary artist Efdemin reincarnates "The Motivation" by adding introspective textures, which is followed by Function's powerful version that enhances the angular orchestral beats of "The Big Steps".

TOKEN 069EP
|
Tadeo first released on Token in 2015 with the instant classic Terra Incognita (TOKEN 051EP). If Terra Incognita was an interpretation of outer space, The Pit comes from deep in the ground. This is electronic program music; book ended in distinctive Tadeo style with a modal string section that places the record firmly in the avant-garde, The Pit guides the listener through the moods and associations of a classic science fiction narrative. A subdued but powerful low-end to set the pace, disorienting semitone meanderings and organic percussion in the mid, and massive, crashing hats that lift statement sections beyond comprehension.

NONSERIES 021LP

Spanish producer Miguel Sar has been a purveyor of tough, no-nonsense techno since the mid-2000s, running his own Cyclical Tracks label and appearing on other imprints like Token, Semantica, and Psyk's Non Series. Sar returns to the latter for Chronicles of the Future, his second album and first since 2008's Contacto (NET28 002CD/LP). Includes download code. "I started this album simply writing a script, I think it is important that an album has a continuity that gives the album a cinematic sense, basically this must tell you a story. For this time I chose the topic of: 'the development of human evolution in the future.' I find it interesting to experiment with the sound and textures of classical music, but not with the idea of how to adapt a techno track with classical instruments, I prefer writing scores from scratch for each of the instruments and adapting synthesizers as part of that orchestra. I think that all this brings us an epic ingredient, that from the beginning I think it was the link between classical and techno music. Besides the classical music, I have been experimented with different kinds of recording and synthesis, also I created almost all the sounds from zero. I have included different fx sounds, developed it with techniques as morphing and overlapping layers of sound, all to setup the tracks with a complex and rich textures, but with care to not obtain something pasty. I worked a lot with 'the space' in the tracks, trying to place each sound in a particular three-dimensional situation with clean reverbs, also the feeling of 'tension' is highly significant in this work, but ultimately the most important thing has been to build on a script written -- as I said before -- so that the narrative is a fundamental part of the album."

TOKEN 051EP
|
"The Possibility of an Encounter" and "Apollo 7" thunder forward, leaving little room to gather breath, both sinister and hypnotic in equal measure. "Deep Space" is another dark, unsettling affair. Arpeggiated chords snake between deep, tribal rhythms. Tadeo's intoxicating synth work is reinforced by steadily building woodwind melodies, creating moments of rushing intensity before sinking back down into brooding soundscapes. "Mind Possibilities" deploys a similar mediation between synthetic and acoustic textures, yet in other instances Tadeo chooses to turn the focus to almost entirely orchestral timbres. "Despert" closes the release with staccato'd oboes, swelling low-end, and delicate strings.

CYCLICAL 018EP

Tadeo presents techno capitalized in a hypothetical trip to the future, illustrating visions of a world that is to come. "Futurism (Edit And Signals Mix)" are two tracks of sci-fi techno, while "Spaceship Alarm" is a track composed for the dancefloor, great for the more energetic moments of the best DJ sets.

Tadeo continues his space-out journey by giving us a particular and intrinsic view of his cosmic experiences. There's not much left to explore, and the trip is about to return to its initial point, full of energy. Three essential tracks for the darkest and deepest dancefloor, this is techno from another side. A must!

Tadeo's cosmological concept continues with Series 02, this time playing with the essential forces involved in the idea of the Universe. "Everlasting" develops this idea as a more energetic whirlwind than "Eta Carinae," an introspective track which shows the apparent peace between galaxies. The balance between both tracks is "Winds Of Glory." This release also includes a great remix by Marcel Dettmann who has a very interesting point of view. Cyclical Tracks continues researching new sounds together with cosmic ideas.

"The man with the groove running through his veins strikes back on his own label with an impressive techno EP. Series 01 takes Tadeo's music to a whole new level. Groovy as hell, hypnotic and very techno, this is state of the art electronic dance music. Tadeo includes an epic soundscape from outer space to introduce these 3 dancefloor oriented tracks that hit mind & body, a demonstration of the constant sonic evolution of this cosmology addicted artist from Madrid. Layers of trippy sounds over hypnotic rhythms. Tadeo's way!"

"After his higly acclaimed debut album Contacto, Tadeo is now prepared for the summer: Azul Klein is going to be one of the records of the season, with the track that gives the name to the release being a hot and groovy techno and house hybrid that will hit dancefloors like a refreshing summer breeze. 'Monocromía' takes it deep and hypnotic, another interpretation of Tadeo's trademark sound. The EP is completed by an intro and 'El Hombre del Espacio,' a wonderful piece of electronic music. Enjoy!"

NET28 002LP
|
Double LP version. This is the debut full-length release by Madrid's Tadeo. On Contacto, techno breathes again with new and recovered energy, and is a declaration of love to his city, even if the language of the album is cosmology and a fascination with the universe. The man behind Cyclical Tracks and one of the NET28 headhunters (together with Alex Under, Damian Schwartz and Imek), has developed a sound that searches for perfection and classicism, with touches of Detroit and the new sound of Madrid. On "Heliopausa," "Orión" and "Júpiter," we confront the most straightforward dancefloor moments where rhythm takes control, punctuated with retro/futuristic arrangements, some very serious and deep stuff. "Zona de Fluctuación...," with its devastating rawness and originality, takes us even higher, together with timeless hit "Metro," where the perception of what Tadeo is capable of really hits us. His journey is that of the endless highway, where techno looks forward and there is no way back, just the feeling of being away from everywhere, in constant movement, even when tracks like "Titán" or "Transmisión" let us breathe, evolving with elegance and beauty. This album is a result of Tadeo's huge capacity to modulate music that is always as perfect as a mathematic equation.

"Cyclical Tracks strikes back with two new hits made in Tadeo, complemented by one loop, one intro and one outro. One of the biggest talents in town delivers a techno monster with a special Detroitish flavor. Hypnotic dance music at its best...from the first beat you hear the crowd screaming! Series 00 is the first chapter of Tadeo´s new concept, where all his influences and ideas play together. Tadeo is influenced by various branches of electronic music, especially by Detroit techno and Cristian Vogel, Neil Landstrum, Plastikman or Jeff Mills productions. He runs Cyclical Tracks and is one of the founders of the NET28 family."

C1LW 009EP

"One of the most played tracks during this season in Ibiza supported by all the main DJs (Loco Dice, Alex Under, Martinez, 2000 and One, Matt Star, Billy Dalessandro). Miguel Sar aka Tadeo is one of the most important artists of the Spanish electronic scene. His productions for Apnea, CMYK musik and Cyclical Tracks (this label managed by himself), have been all the rave throughout the world. His latest releases, Tercer Color de Luminancia: Azul and Cosmos have been so sensational, they have been praised by many and charted by even more. Now Cray1 comes to keep up the good reviews. And for sure they will. Caos EP is a release similar to Tadeo's previous ones: hypnotic techno, serious, groovy and mental, influenced by the city of Motor, Detroit, and its great techno-masters. On one side we have 'Caos,' a vast old-school techno track, with a great melodic load and ultra-groovy. On the other side, 'Fractal,' more upfront and cutting-edge on the dancefloor. The mixture of classic and contemporary sounds is unbeatable (100% Tadeo sound), which makes each song a potential hit. Be alert and don't miss this opportunity to be the first to spin what we'll be listening to non-stop during the upcoming years. There is no doubt this is techno for the future! If that wasn't enough (something we consider unlikely), we give you the opportunity to enjoy the sensational, funky micro-tech exercise by Fusiphorm. This French producer, a regular on Foundsound, has remixed 'Fractal,' Tadeo's techno hit, giving it a minimalistic and avant-garde touch, contributing to a higher groove and and even larger dose of 'danceability.' As if it weren't already unequalled on the dancefloor."

APNEA 015EP
|
"The man behind Cyclical Tracks, Tadeo, comes back with three excellent tracks and two loops, an advance of his long-awaited debut album, that will be released on Apnea. With Cosmos, Tadeo redefines the concept of electronic dance music: 'Reflection Nebula 056n' is an emotional journey to the heart of techno; 'Eclipse' is the perfect track for the dancefloor at 5am, Detroitish, elegant and groovy; and 'IO' is the deepest track of the record, very mental and hypnotic. The whole record is a tribute to Detroit and of course, pure quality techno from Madrid."
