Feelings EP, Ulysses's second release on The Bunker New York, is confident, coherent, and carefully arranged. "I've found that I only make good music if I'm experimenting," says Ulysses, explaining his compositional process. "How Does It Feel To Feel?" features low-slung basslines and synthesizer blasts that sound like jets flying overhead. "Object of Interest" runs at a similarly slow pace but feels slightly less demented, intensifying the atmosphere and priming it for peak-time. "The Mascara Snake" is the quintessential B-side sleeper: a moody, melodic synth-pop slow-jam that sounds like Duran Duran on some very high quality psychedelics.

Ulysses' career has spanned genres from techno and house to experimental and disco. An essential pioneer of the late-'90s electro scene in New York, Ulysses threw some of the earliest large-scale electro parties with artists such as Alexander Robotnick, Arthur Baker, Adult, Miss Kitten and the Hacker. A recent visit to his basement studio revealed an archive of unreleased tracks, which The Bunker has collected here. This is fantastic music that speaks for itself, but Ulysses submitted three questions: Would you trust a guru in sweatpants? What nobleman dares to sit on a throne of bubbles? Is this the theme of the Arctic?

Elliot is Ulysses, also known as half of Neurotic Drum Band together with John Selway on Wurst or as debuted for Internasjonal Spesial, Filipsson & Ulysses (together with Holmar Filipsson). "Gibson In E" played on Beats In Space radio in March 2010 to much positive feedback. Lovely Kraut-y doddlings on a spaceship. For the B-side, we're treated to Ulysses' personal rendition of Diana Ross ballad-goes-disco classic "Love Hangover."
