Dutch Science is a musical venture, produced by Jesus Vio, with collaborators Cornelia Overton (back-up vocals, violin, and bass) and Austin Edwards (back-up vocals, piano, and drums). It's a 12-song full-length record comprised of poetry, strings, rock n' roll, art, vocal harmonies, and twee songs written by Vio and accompanied by Overton and Edwards. It was recorded in the summer of 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee at the punk rock house, The Pet Cemetery. The cover was embroidered by local Nashville artist Kate Madeira with the concept revolving around traditional art aestheticizing new technology, hence the microchip behind the portrait. The back cover photograph was taken by Marcus Maddox, a local Nashville photographer who has worked with Vogue and was featured in the Nashville Scene for his photography book, Pom Poms, about the crowds at Nashville underground shows. Edition of 300.
