PROTEKT 003EP
|
RSD 2016 release. The third release on Profan sublabel Protekt, and the first since 2013, is Wolfgang Voigt's Die Schallplatte, four variations of concentrated groove power released under Voigt's Wassermann moniker. The "Original Mix" is a techno pop monstrosity that dusts off stout '80s and '90s references and transcodes them into the now. The "Neotrance Mix" is like German schlagerqueen Helene Fischer and Klaus Schulze in a breathless acid duet. Wassermann opens the B-side by whipping out the distortion alongside Marc Bolan and Robert Palmer. The "Vinyl Countdown Mix," a tribute to the vinyl record, closes things out.

Believer in the unconventional and an enthusiast of the new, Wassermann is reputed as the original rebel of the zodiac. Wassermann pores deep over what makes the world tick and can be trusted to come up with ideas and hypotheses which seem to be way ahead of his time. This is why he is attracted to the new and different. Things associated with Wassermann: rebellious, distribution, breaking boundaries, all fruit trees, orchids, independence, self-potency, freedom, rhythm, large flying birds. Strengths: electric attitude.
