OSCARR 015EP
|
"After OSCarr has taken over a year hiatus, the label is proud to re-launch with ass-kicking Scottish act, Xvectors. OSCarr is, of course, the label from Glasgow's now legendary weekly Sunday club Optimo (Espacio), run by JD Twitch and JG Wilkes, of Kill the DJ mix CD fame and all the rest. It features the best of music that they like, basically. And it's a policy that seems to work. Xvectors are an Edinburgh-based 4 piece, who came together in mid 2003. The short, sharp bursts of intense, claustrophobic, guitar-driven dance music which they were creating soon caught the attention of fledgling London label Adult Baby who gave the band a deal to record their first 7" single. The band are now well known as being tremendous live performers, at once appearing to help you on the way to clammy nightclub gratification while feverish, dark pop premonitions and murky psychological introspections are brought to life through their lyrics. The triple A-sided single is completed with Xvectors' blistering cover of Jamie Principle's Chicago classic 'Your Love' and their own 'Dial All The Nines' making this 12" a must-have for all fans of (dirty) disco."
