Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker's voices remain at the center of Low's music, Zak Sally's bass anchors the whole with carefully-placed pauses, making every second count. After five albums, Low have moved beyond tags like 'slowcore,' pace is not nearly as important now as placement."
