"This is the first in a series of three various artist 12" releases, that features four of the Dublin label's most trusted henchmen. Puresthatred's 'Robbery' is his debut track on Mantrap and what an awesome one it is: Dark imposing bass and beats meet the sound of smashing glass, rave led keys and all round mayhem, with haunting strings that send this one into deepest hell. Meeting him there is Magnetize, who in one take supplied this evil vox led synth grinder in 'Distant Observer,' with deft 808s and distorted crackling fx creating both a scary but grooving feel. Rory St John pushes wobbly techno eccentricity on 'Dysentry,' with fluid editing and supreme use of effects proving again why he is one of the most exciting new talents around. Sunil Sharpe's 'Print More Money and Shut Up!!' is a slippery mover, where a succession of unruly lead sounds accompany odd vocals and rasping hats -- with a straightforward approach that will penetrate all in its way. So, four top class techno cuts here, all with their own unique character and all for peak time play."
