Having been label manager of Sisyphon, in-house imprint of the acclaimed Sisyphos Club in Berlin, Rocko Garoni is no stranger to curating high-quality records, and this time he gets to be curator of his own stunning Detection EP. The title track is a mischievous number that is as equal parts vicious and cunning as it is sensual and inviting. "Phaseful" reveals glimmers of classic house artifacts scattered over an energetic drum illustration. "Tragedy" contributes low-slung drums, spanning bass and sinister vocal declarations before a rework of "Detection" by Regal, a classic sure to make the forefathers of techno proud.
