"Supported by: Richie Hawtin, DJ Hell, Monika Kruse, Martin Landsky, Laurent Garnier, Piemont, Ivan Smagghe, Smokin Jo, Sebastien Leger and Djuma Soundsystem. Amir's
Bodymusic One
was the starting shot not only for the highly acclaimed series, but also the first release on the Hamburgian label run by the rising stars Piemont aka Phunklarique and Dejonka. Suchtreflex has been keeping to its policy of supporting unknown artists and the latest release
Monkey Business
set off to be an underground hit which found many prominent supporters and caused enthusiastic reactions amongst crowds all over the world. Now a year later, they have decided to pull the geographical line a little longer from north to south just to land in Zurich, where Amir's friend Kapara lives and parties. Whilst visiting one another they ended up in the studio, the result being this groovy 10-minute opus with very well worked out elements which blend into one homogenous piece of art in the end. Amir's friends in Hamburg were immediately set on fire, Phunklarique instantly offered a remix, which turned out to be a brilliant idea, taking the right elements to underline his uplifting Phunklarique sound! Amir's friend and studio partner Butch also decided to interpret the song his way and all in all this is not only a highly functional EP, but one that was made out of friendship, good times and good ideas!"
