Danny Benedettini returns to Items & Things with his second solo effort for the label, Sweet Lies. A child of punk and cult horror film iconography, the Italian Benedettini continues to hone his unique take on disco-charred techno experimentation. In true Items & Things fashion, the four tracks on Sweet Lies could easily be have been transported directly from late '70s Italy or early '90s Detroit. Their evocative themes explore the contrasting worlds in which both Goblin and James Stinson loiter.
