"This is the second album by Crossover on Gigolo and it sounds like they have developed musically to produce this fantastic album.
Fantasmo
already proved Crossover's ability to create music beyond the expectable; beyond the usual genre definitions. This album is even harder to label. Name It psych-kick because of the 60s psychedelic vocal lines. But although this would give you an idea it wouldn't match all influences. Remember the times when NYC's coolest musicians mingled their new wave minimalist approach with Chris Blackwell's rhythm- crazy Jamaican Island Crew? The times that brought us Tom Tom Club & Talking Heads? Early electro/hip hop (Rammellzee; U.T.F.O.) has obviously influenced some of the beats as well. The things that make this album so unique are the references that go beyond that: Can; Faust on one hand, electronic sound design since the early nineties on the other. This album is not faking any retro 'Zeitgeist'. It's all here and now!"
