Speicher returns to form for 2009. Feeling the urge to display a sweetened vulgarity for fully-formed techno -- Kompakt's young starlet Maxime Dangles teams up with Paul Nazca for this monstrous release. "Dark Neptune" is a bass-squelching power-rocker -- thoroughly delivering all peaks and no drifts. "Aquarel" is a more melodic affair, but pulls out all the right punches with a tangible, house-like quality. Definitely a classic approach that meets the Speicher seal of approval.
