"The sounds and culture that have emanated from Detroit over the generations have always found a way to enchant and inspire those from outside the city limits. In some cases, the draw of this sound, and the mystique of the working class lifestyle, creates such a pull that individuals will up their roots and relocate to the source. So is the case of DJ Dex. Born and raised in a working class East Los Angeles neighborhood, Dex brought his experience and sound to Detroit in 2001 and hasn't looked back since. His unique blend of west coast rhythm and Detroit funk have earned him a spot in the Underground Resistance production crew, as well as a chance to work along side of Rolando and Gerald Mitchell as part of Los Hermanos. His first foray into the world of Motech brings us the El Camino EP. Take the sights and sounds of a late summer night in any barrio and infuse the signature Motech Electric Soul and you will get the general feel of 'El Camino.' Much like it's namesake, 'El Camino' combines the rhythm and funk to give you the best of both worlds. While the identity of those who work on the line may change, the quality of the product that is a result remains unchanged."
