"Famous and feared German actor Klaus Kinski, now defunct, once described the jungle as an obscene display of nature, and somehow one gets the feeling that upcoming Italian producer Fausto Messina has seen the movie, too. After the gigantic success he found with the co-produced 'Compulsive Disorder,' which made it right into the playlist of Sven Väth, he apparently reorganized his aesthetics, not to get keen on the next chainsaw massacre but to let nature grow as it was meant to be. Entwined drum patterns and chirring hi-hats adorn his psychedelically detailed symphonies straight outta the jungle, always promoting something new, surprising and flowing. A night club kinda swing employs obscure folklorist instruments, creating a techno that oscillates between samba and Javanese, sweaty and dirty, as the sound of the green hell should be. The WIR newbie constantly discovers new animals and future medicamentation in the smallest corners, but still manages to map the heavens above the flora, describing it as huge waves of sound break through the treetops. This is the Indiana Jones of contemporary electronics, not just some Lucialobos rip-off, as he's using the machete in his own way. Just be careful not to stumble over the vines... they're quite dangerous."
