"Hendrik Krötz aka Miwon has been an active member of the Berlin-based electronic music scene for a very long time. Hundred's of live P.A.s created a big fan base for his soulful electronic pop music. As the initiator of the already legendary 'laptop battles' he did important ground work for the development of electronic music in Berlin in general. Apart from a long deleted split-12" on the Grundrauschen imprint,
Brother Mole
is his first release. The title track is a blueprint of modern synth-pop. A pumping bassdrum, lush chords and catchy vocals make 'Brother Mole' an instant hit you will be whistling walking down the street. Be prepared for some serious addiction. A perfect track for CCO's very own John Tejada to remix. He transforms the track into a dancefloor anthem. An even more kicking bassdrum and a much straighter arrangement turn the track into a killer DJ-Tool. 'Spiralize' shows Miwon's love for more dirty, gritty sounds. His dreamy melodies do the rest. 'Rain Or Shine', the closing track, is a lullaby for lonely laptops. Deep and haunting."
