"Markus Müller's two releases on Berlin's label Festplatten are now followed up by his debut EP Chives on Traum. Socialized through his club experiences in greater Frankfurt, M.Müller manages to add a variety to Traum's music that only process has tackled before. In comparison to his previous releases his style has changed slightly. Both tracks on the Traum v66 act more rhythmically and consist of funk from head to toe. Markus Müller is all groove and his music is made up of house feeling. He lets beats rotate and bass drums hop. His A-side track 'Chives' lives to a considerably extent from a Latin influence which reminds of 'Beaumont Plage' from Isolee. The track fascinates with its complex melodic behavior but still has a very catchy tune. In contrary the flipside track 'Chop' is clearly a reduced rhythm track. A DJ tool which rocks."
