2012 reissue. Pressed on 180-gram white vinyl; includes printed inner sleeve with credits. Mirumir presents the first vinyl edition of Mumiy Troll's fourth album, Ikra (Caviar), originally released in 1997. Charismatic songwriter and frontman Ilya Lagutenko formed Mumiy Troll in 1983, but they were officially unsanctioned in the Soviet Union, and went on hiatus after the release of their 1985 full-length debut. After a brief reunion in 1990, the band was fully resurrected in 1996, and developed a more traditional Russian rock sound than that of their '80s form, to great popularity in Russia. Ikra is their second album of this '90s period.
