Maniac released several EPs between 2008 and 2010 with an album entitled New Age Grime collecting his works in 2009. Maniac recommenced his production work in 2015 immediately reconnecting with Wiley for Outchea and other E3 resident Maxsta for the EP 100 Problems. He was also tasked with soundtracking the Noel Clarke movie BrotherHood (2016) and produced several tracks himself featuring the likes of AJ Tracey, P Money, and Chip. Homecoming EP is his first instrumental release after his return to the scene.

"A 4-track EP from Scorcher which features the A-side 'Chance Us.' This Wiley produced track is the lead off single from his Simply The Best CD and has received massive support on both underground and mainstream platforms. Not only getting played regularly on specialist shows on 1xtra and Kiss FM, it previously made the 1xtra A-list rotation for daytime play, was featured by Jez Welham on his Saturday Kiss 100 daytime show, and played by Westwood on his Radio 1 rap show. Also features the instrumental, which has been a massive dubplate in the big raves over the past year as well, that Wiley magic doing its work for such DJs as Maximum, Plastician, Logan Sama, Mak 10, Vectra and many others. The B-side features a Scorcher production for a brand new MC who is causing a great deal of interest due to appearances on Cold Blooded sets and features on Practise Hours TV DVD. Terminator is his name, and the track is 'Beef With T.' Again the vinyl includes both vocal and instrumental, for all the DJs."
