After a ten EPs in few years on respected labels such as Clergy, ARTS, Mord and an acclaimed debut album on Skryptöm, young and promising techno producer Kmyle is back on the French label Astropolis Records with Keroual EP, three originals and a stunning remix from French veteran Zadig. A contemporary EP that embodies all Kmyle's technical and elegant techno, energy and his singular melodic synth work. First up is the eponym track "Keroual", in reference to Astropolis' setting, a beautiful trip to its fairyland and a large electronic universe, with emotive melodies and light chords. An enchanting meditative and dancing track, as well-suited for the dancefloor as it is for home listening. Samy steps the tempo up with "Telegraph" and falls into darkness, undulating slowly in an evil dance, with a tense melody, a rumble bassline and a hypnotic techno. A metallic tune that works on every dancefloor. On the flip side, "Syncopa" keeping the drive, seems tailored for a huge night with a forceful kick and a booming energy on its introduction, rapidly caught by a dramatic, intense and sizzling melody, enigmatic atmospheres and euphoric chords. A big tune for a big floor with a hammering beat and a delicious dark groove. French well respected producer Zadig ends the EP with a brutal and gloomy version of "Keroual", under a "Day Is Dying remix", a wink to his hardcore project. An obsessive kick with a rave-y '90s vibe turning violently the track in a stripped-back hardcore version and its intensity. Uncompromising and raw, quite cinematic at the beginning, slow-burning to madness. A pleasant chaos anthem dedicated to industrial atmospheres.

The long-standing and hugely respected label and events company Astropolis welcome Blutch for a new single, La Cite Des Etoiles, that comes ahead of his debut album on this same label later in 2020, and includes a remix from Michael Mayer. Blutch has had numerous releases on the likes of Nowadays, Dance Around 88, and Délicieuse Musique, has collaborated with heavyweights like Terrence Parker and Red Rack'em and has received support from NTS and Radio 1. He is a respected talent in France and deals in classy electronica that blurs the lines between dream states and reality, and the forthcoming album will be presented as a gripping audiovisual tale with the help of video maker Romain Navier. First up here is expressive techno masterpiece "Beau Rivage" which soars on supple synth lines and elastic drum programming. It's elegant stuff awash with melodic beauty and emotion. Single "Compétition," is another excellently mature and musical track with symphonic synths reaching to the heavens and colorful arps lighting up the uplifting grooves. "2014" is driven by vast, pounding, and cavernous drums, with distant vocal harmonies bring an angelic feel to the celestial synths and chords. The final original is the brilliant "La Cité Des Etoiles," which is layered up with pixelated leads, soft chords, and found sound percussion samples that fire every synapse. Remixing is Kompakt label boss and one of the most revered names in electronic music, Michael Mayer. He flips "La Cité Des Etoiles" into deeply-rooted techno that is riddled with claps and synth lines that bright real light.

Since his debut track "The Rebirth" released on Bedrock Records, French producer Oniris has spread up his melodic techno and dark groove on various labels. He's back on Astropolis imprint with Odysseus, a four tracks EP including a remix from Marc Romboy. The EP opens with "Odysseus", a deep, classy, and melodic track, while "Raver" unveils a more shadow side with a rave-y peak time track and a catchy climb for dancefloors. Romboy's remix of "Odysseus" is a warm and powerful rework with acid melodies and swinging echoes. "Borderline" ends the EP with a hypnotic and irresistibly groovy cut.

3x12" version. Includes download code. Since his emergence in 2010, Madben's melodic, Detroit-inspired techno evolved, with various releases on Caduceus, Astropolis Records, Off Recordings, Inflyte, and Bedrock. Nowadays, the Paris-based artist remains a key figure in France's new generation of techno producers, with an upcoming debut LP on Astropolis Records. Swinging from atmospheric sounds to techno, Madben produces an alchemy of rave anthems, hardware material and groovy, emotional music. With support from France's favorite Laurent Garnier, Manu Le Malin, and Rebekah Warrior, Fréquence(s) unveils his skillful, mature universe. The opening track "Space Bubbles" carries a cinematic, ethereal touch designed for dancefloor, from dusk till dawn. "Mouvement Circulaire" sets out a slow hypnotic rhythm, leading to "Narcotica" and its warm melodies. "MG's Groove", produced with master Laurent Garnier uncovers Madben's house moves, percussive beats, and distorted synths. "Reminiscence" and "Stripes" wink at Madben's earlier melodic techno imprints, while "Don't Lose The Beat" uses old school vocal as the LP's boiling point. Modern techno vision is underlined with tracks such as "Tom & Tom" and "The Struggle", both waving between UK inspirations, aerial sounds, and Ben's original signature. Featuring Manu Le Malin and Rebekah Warrior, "Grief, Dance To Death" stands out from the rest, swaying betwixt French vocals and rave spirit, whereas the album's last piece, "Lunar Park", ends the journey with a gripping ethereal melody.
