Lulu with Johnny Harris would go onto winning Eurovision in 1969 with Boom Bang A Bang and Johnny was signed to a three-album deal with the newly formed UK arm of Warner Bros. 2020 reissue. Originally released in 1968. "A great late '60s orchestral baroque pop album with psychedelic sounds all over it." "Guy from Southern California packs up his life and guitar to follow a Swedish exchange student back to her home land in 1967. It doesn't work out. He goes as far as he can with whatever funds he has left, guitar in hand. It's Holland. Having never performed outside his bedroom, he plays coffee shops for tips. Spotted by a member of prominent Dutch band, Blues Dimension who brings his label's A&R guy, he's asked if he wants to record an LP. He records a lush, baroque, orchestral pop sike album. It's released on a Decca in Holland. He appears on national TV and radio, along with supporting on a few tours. With royalties earned on the album he returns to Southern California and heads to Hollywood with the imminent release scheduled on Decca Records in the USA. It doesn't happen. Not the plot of a new movie. This is the abridged story of the lost, barely known treasure that is Mike Tingley, 'The Abstract Prince'."

2015 reissue, last copies. Originally released in 1990. "Third Eye is the third studio album by Redd Kross. It was released by Atlantic Records on September 14, 1990. It includes 'Annie's Gone', which peaked at number 16 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart. The naked masked woman on the cover of the album is Sofia Coppola. The band's guitarist Robert Hecker provided vocals on '1976', doing a Paul Stanley impersonation, which led people to believe Stanley did the singing."

2015 release. "Formed in 1978, Friction were Helen Carter (later of Do Re Mi), Ruby D (who went onto other areas of the arts), Danny Rumour (S.P.K, Sekret Sekret & The Cruel Sea) and Fiona Warner (whose brother, Bruce was in The Thought Criminals). They shared the stage with the likes of The Thought Criminals and Lipstick Killers. Existed between 1978 and 1979. After much excavation, this previously uncirculated tape was found with three original tracks from a rehearsal recorded in January 1979."

2015 reissue. Originally released in 1974. "Buster Brown was an Australian rock and roll band, which featured vocalist Angry Anderson and drummer Phil Rudd, that was formed in Melbourne in 1973. Their sound was hard rock mixed with blues rock influences. Their first album, Something To Say was produced by Lobby Loyde and released in 1974. Rudd left to join an early version of AC/DC while Anderson continued with new line-ups and eventually disbanded the group in November 1975. Anderson joined Rose Tattoo which later included former Buster Brown bandmates, Geordie Leach on bass guitar and Dallas 'Digger' Royall on drums."

2016 reissue. "Jeff St John, stalwart of the Australian '70s psych scene, lent his name to two previous bands (Jeff St John and Id and Jeff St John and Yama) before releasing Joint Effort as Jeff St John and Copperwine. Joint Effort, originally released on the Australian Spin label, and probably the pinnacle of St John's recording career, is very much a psych prog crossover album, although some soul influences do crop up, particularly on the surging organ-based cover of The Temptations' 'Cloud Nine' as well as highly competent covers of Sly Stone's 'Sing A Simple Song' and Blind Faith's 'Can't Find My Way Home'. The rest of the album is made up of some excellent self-penned material, the outstanding tracks being the long instrumental, 'Any Orange Night' and the psych-tinged 'Fanciful Nights Of Mind'."

2015 reissue. Originally released in 1967. "Finally, after much wrangling, the Blank Recording Company is truly chuffed to be able to make available again for the first time since their original releases the three highly sought after and extremely rare albums by John Sangster, originally released on Festival Records from 1967-1969. John Sangster is known the world over as a legendary Australian jazz multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger. Aside from releasing his own records, his name is on credits on many other albums from straight ahead jazz, prog, psych, country rock, soul and all points between. Copperwine, Tully, Don Burrows, Ray Brown / Moonstone, Sven Libaek, Judy Bailey. The list goes on... Here's where it all came together on the solo tip... First album, originally released in 1967. An all cover affair. An eclectic mixed bag of current pop hits from the likes of The Byrds, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Rolling Stones with Brazilian bossa nova, jazz and takes on soundtrack themes. Players on this album are John Sangster, George Golla, Sven Libaek (who also handles arrangements), Ed Gaston and Len Hutchinson. Produced by Pat Aulton."

2017 reissue. "First album Outlander originally released in 1970 by Meic Stevens. Meic Stevens was discovered by DJ Jimmy Savile (but don't hold that against him) in 1965 whilst performing in Manchester, this led to a single being released on Decca Records later that year arranged by John Paul Jones. The single sold poorly and Meic Stevens retreated to his tiny home village of Solva in Wales in 1967, writing, recording and releasing a series of now incredibly rare Welsh language EPs. This led to more work in the UK and a recording contract with Warner Bros. The sublime Outlander was to be the first album of a multi album deal but both parties went their own way after extremely poor sales of the album. Outlander is the only album he recorded in English, subsequent albums are in Welsh."

2015 release. "While exhumation of the tapes used for the Black Diamonds box sets was in progress some unmarked magic was found on those tapes containing sides by The Sunsets. You most likely already know that if you've been following the bouncing ball that are our releases and the release of the previously shelved 1967 The Sunsets single, 'Animal/Uptight, Out of Sight' (BRC 007) that finally saw the light of day late last year. Well, you only got part of the story. Aside from those two snarling sides that were finally released as originally intended there were completely different extended takes on four songs specifically recorded to be used in the movie, The Hot Generation. Being that that this was the days prior to studio trickery of recording a song and then chopping it up to be extended, or edited to be a single, The Sunsets recorded completely different versions of the songs. Single versions that were specifically for release as sides on 45s and soundtrack versions that were for use in the Paul Witzig movie, The Hot Generation. Segments of those soundtrack versions can be heard accompanying the epic surfing footage all through the movie. Here are the complete Soundtrack versions. One of them, The Hot Generation, was used on the excellent compilation album Down Under Nuggets, the other three have been completely unheard or released in their originally recorded form. Something that is an extremely rare occurrence in 1960s Australian music, unearthing completely unreleased material. So what you get here is the three 7" singles on Side A. 'The Hot Generation' and 'Animal' 45's from The Hot Generation movie, and 'Theme From A Life In The Sun' 7". A Life In The Sun being the original Paul Witzig surf movie, segments of that footage was then used in The Hot Generation movie. Sadly, the original A Life In The Sun movie has been lost. Side B features the four extended workouts that are the Soundtrack versions. Listening to these versions, in particular the almost 8 minute 'Uptight, Out Of Sight' that's a genre in itself, progressive garage punk, you can see where the seeds were formed for The Sunsets transition into Tamam Shud and wonder how mindblowing an album recorded by The Sunsets would have been. This is as close as we'll ever get to knowing. Manufactured from original master tapes. Three completely unreleased tracks seeing the light of day for first time. Two tracks appear for the first time since original release. Liner notes by The Hot Generation film maker, Paul Witzig, along with lot's of eye candy from the movie."
