From the true streets of Berlin comes one of the most essential electronic labels in the world, the inimitable BPitch Control. Founded in 1997 as a kind of music and art collective, the group does everything it can to broadcast its utopian vision to the masses through its parties, its visual themes and its commitment to artistic freedom. The result is an undeniably funky, break-driven technoid sound. The label's vision is filtered through its founder: Ellen Allien (as she says: "The Bitch of BPitch"). Allien has 5 full-length artist CDs, each more crucial than the next, while her mix CDs stay atop the stacks at clubs worldwide. Other artists at the BPitch core: Paul Kalkbrenner, Sylvie Marks & Hal9000, Smash TV, Modeselektor and Kiki. While all vary in tempo, style and attitude, they all commit to a similar electronic pallette -- clean<, broken, hook-filled and human. English vocals abound at BPitch as does the eye-candy artwork, the all-for-one attitude and its shimmering, glimmering style. If techno is art, then BPitch is Lichtenstein. It's pop music with a purpose.

Colombian artist Gotshell ties different shades of electronic music together on multi-genre EP for BPitch! Colombian artist Gotshell returns to BPitch with a truly varied package of eccentric productions and multi-genre excursions. Whilst heavily inspired by the first wave techno of the '90s, Gotshell's approach to production is one of genre synthesis, drawing upon styles ranging from IDM and acid to ambient and dub, and grounded continuously by an honest commitment to intense, uplifting rave music. Having released on an extensive roster of labels, Sintaxis is his second full release for BPitch, following Rezagados in 2021, and an appearance on the acclaimed We Are Not Alone compilation series last year. Armed with a passion for multi-genre musicality and a refined understanding of production techniques, Sintaxis brandishes references to subcultures from varying localities. Chaotic and serene in equal measure, Gotshell finds balance in the fusion of seemingly disparate sonic profiles. Opening the proceedings is "Forest," a misty spiral through bizarre dissonances and psychedelic pads led by a marching kick drum. Heading into hazier territory, the dub-centric "Who I Am" nods to early era dubstep with a careful fusion of stepping percussions, echoey vocals, and airy synths. "Fluctuacion Paralela" continues in an ambient-leaning vein, submerging itself into an uncanny world of distant alarms, robotic voices and subtle drums. Closing off the proceedings is the unrelenting "Acid and Die," a no-nonsense tweak trip through harsh acid coils and heavy distortions. Seamlessly fusing references gleaned from a true commitment to the music, Sintaxis is a statement of intent from the Colombian producer, tying together the threads between different shades of electronic music with an aesthetic distinctly his own.

Tensal debuts on BPitch with The New Land Order, a four-track package of intense, minimalist techno. Functioning as an output for his solo work, Tensal is a project that amalgamates various references into an exploration of tension in electronic music. Built using a combination of strange harmonic dissonances and abstract rhythmic patterns, the tracks are designed to be layered over time to build a tautly wound intensity; DJ tools in the best sense of the word. The New Land Order finds the beloved producer in total control of his craft, carefully arranging layers of sound to create a powerful collection of atmospheric dancefloor structures.

BPitch present a new EP of unfiltered techno and impeccable sound design by Turin-based duo Boston 168. Following on from three releases on the label and a 2019 appearance on its hotly tipped sub label UFO Inc, the duo head for cavernous industrial spaces and vivid psychedelic trips with Gigantia. Having produced music together since 2014, Sergio Pace and Vincenzo Ferramosca have built a name for themselves from a particularly spatial strain of techno that has afforded them an illustrious career to date. Gigantia sees the duo drawing upon the industrial roots of their hometown, merging a range of influences with a distinctly melodic take on acid techno.

Berlin-based artist ASEC steps up for the latest release from BPitch Control. A creative force who is driven by the dancefloor, while also maintaining his own personal perspective, ASEC delivers four distinct cuts. Swathed in universally relatable emotion, the inspiration for this release came from "the idea of making decisions that are irreversible and the weight that can come with that. The indecision, the fear and the finality of making difficult choices." "Crossing The Rubicon" sets the EP off to a galloping start with a contagious rhythm and an unsettling melody. It's dark, yet utterly danceable, striking a delicate balance between beats and atmospherics. The title track follows, with ASEC's penchant for modular synths giving the cut plenty of flavor and character. Propelled by snub-nosed kicks and shifting percussion, this is a deep dive into the mind of a considered artist. Next up it's "Our Light In Momentary Troubles", a dense composition with thick solid low end frequencies dancing side by side with a gnarly analogue riff. Finally, "Bleep Test (Tool Mix)" closes the EP, utilizing the power of repetition to ensnare the listener. An utterly hypnotic cut that will keep you hooked to the very end...

Ellen Allien joins forces with Italian synth wave band Ash Code for a formidable collaborative project. Across three tracks they merge their creative energy to produce the fearsome EP -- Dance And Kill. The three track EP represents a perfect marriage of two potent and distinctive sounds, with both acts firing on all cylinders. Across the EP eerie vocal clips, vigorous percussion, stomping bass, distorted vocals, and ominous instrumentation demonstrate the parallels between these sounds. Opening track "Dance And Kill" embodies this melding of techno and cold wave elements. "Shining On You" features Ellen's vocals and thunderous drum programming, for a somber yet irresistibly danceable track. Finally, "Everything Collapses" unleashes vigorous percussion and a snarling low end, lifted by a chorus of supernatural voices.

Frenchman Crystal Geometry arrives on BPitch with his first full EP Promised Lands. After debuting on BPitch's We Are Not Alone compilation, Frenchman Crystal Geometry arrives with his first full EP for the label. Showcasing his diversity across four distinct cuts, this is Crystal Geometry in playful and experimental mode, utilizing his modular synth skills to bring you a powerful selection of tracks. "Everlasting Ghost of an Acid Trip" is a self-explanatory cut that dives deep into themes around death and LSD. With lyrics inspired by the early Norwegian black metal scene, he goes all out with the 303 line and hardcore-inspired beats. "Alien Abduction" was made especially for BPitch, the modular synth taking center stage as '80s percussion and washed-out vocals do the work. "Drink My Blood" is one for the hardcore goths, allowing Crystal Geometry to express the depths of his dark soul. The lyrics say it all, "Drink, drink my blood! It's dark, like my soul. Feed! Feed on me, don't waste a drop of that gold." Finally, "The Promised Land?" addresses the dire situation in the Middle East, redefining the so-called Holy Land. The melancholy atmosphere is potent, reinforced by somber choir vocals and the trusty 303.

Nocow is back on BPitch Control with a multi-faceted EP full of rousing energy and scintillating sonics. Across four delightful cuts he explores a range of moods and styles, all equipped with the power to move the dancefloor, physically and emotionally. "Noski" has a Detroit "jit" kinda vibe to it, with its clipped hip-hop samples and repetitive claps. Though the atmosphere evokes an air of mystery, with an unnerving riff. This is followed by "Pose", a gnarly juggernaut of a track featuring a pulsating b-line and breathless vocal clips, which add a human element. Retro synths lines take us back a couple of decades, adding an energizing layer of dancefloor nourishment. Then you have "Space 1999", which, as the title suggests, evokes a very cosmic feel... slightly reminiscent of Jeff Mills. Nocow's musicianship really shines through on this cut, with expertly balanced light and dark elements creating an immersive atmosphere. Finally, the title track, "Youth", invites us to bounce around in the playground for a while. A mesmerizing riff enchants the mind, while the beats tantalize the body. With the addition of soothing pads, this one is bound to invoke a multitude of out of body experiences...

LP version. Dillon's fourth LP, 6abotage, captures today's zeitgeist like few others. A work of sore desperation but also reassuring devotion. Her fourth, and perhaps boldest, album project, 6abotage, marks Dillon's first full-length since 2017's Kind. Described by Dillon herself as "a love letter, a cry for help and a consequence, all in one," 6abotage is the unapologetic manifestation of Dillon's latest artistic excursion with artist and producer Alexis Troy. Together Dillon and Troy have created a lyrically and sonically captivating and genre-bending body of work. The unmistakable soreness of Dillon's voice surrounded by and embedded within Troy's decisive and, at times, almost cinematic production defeats all genre stereotypes. Written, produced, and recorded in complete isolation, 6abotage reflects today's zeitgeist. It is sore and desperate but also reassuring and devoted. 6abotage is a successful protest. A successful protest against stereotypes and preconceptions. A protest against excessive suffering. A protest for selflove. A protest for patience and vulnerability. A protest for forgiveness and growth.

"I follow the golden stream..." sings Rosa Anschütz in the title track of her new album, in a cold, clear, determined voice. Underneath, golden interference buzzes and splashes at first, while cold light lies over the "thick water." Followed by powerful beats setting in as the trumpet fanfares of the chorus herald victory over the elements. Golden Stream is second album of the 24-year-old artist, who lives in Vienna and Berlin -- an amazing work. It can be danced to, but one can also listen to it as a conceptual album; it is as full of beats as it is full of thoughts. Rosa Anschütz plays piano, flute, and trumpet, she worked a lot with modular synthesizers in the beginning of her career. Her musical awakening experience was the Atonal Festival in Berlin, later she also danced a lot at Berghain, and Berghain DJ Max Kobosil remixed her song "Rigid". Rosa Anschütz reinforces her enormously versatile vocals -- ranging from a pleading breath to a cold new wave speaking voice -- with a relentlessly marching four-to-the-floor techno; but underneath it all, lay polyrhythmic deviations again and again. Clattering and trembling, deep basses digging into the ground, while shimmering veils of sound blow from above. Rosa Anschütz follows the traditions of dark wave and post-punk, but carves deep notches of sound sculpture and romantic smoothness. Goldener Strom is a great pop album, full of melodies, aphorisms and beats that immediately catch your ear. At the same time, it is a manifesto of artistic sovereignty -- precious and wise in times of streamlined art.

Uncrat has a healthy preoccupation with machines that make music, which fed into the development of the Xilo EP. The title cut blends stirring pad work with a taut kick drum and a menagerie of bleeps and chirps, concluding with a beautifully enchanting melody. "Efien" utilizes the familiar squelch of an acid line, along with unusual percussive elements and haunting progression. "Gemini Leaks" places rugged beats with emotionally-charged strings and an earworm melody that appears after a short breakdown. Finally, "SIT" loosely pays homage to DJ Rolando's "Knights of the Jaguar", with spinetingling strings sparking an overall feeling of euphoria. Bellissimo!

A warm welcome to Italian-American producer Matasism, who debuts on BPitch with his four-track EP Can You Feel My Soul. Matasism launched his own label Ma¨ta¨sism in 2017, releasing exclusively via the platform until very recently. He lands on BPitch with an EP that channels the essence of freedom and liberty found in the rave. It's a compelling EP that blends trance, techno and acid influences into a memory evoking collection of music. The remake of "Can You Feel My Soul" kicks things off, firing on all cylinders with a hypnotic riff and heavyweight kicks. More layers are added to increase the depth and energy, leading into a mesmerizing breakdown. Meanwhile, the following original mix has a grizzly bassline spliced with hard-hitting beats. On the flip "Age Of Fantasy" opens up with a dramatic intro leading into a powerful, enchanting main riff. Vintage sounds with a contemporary flavor. Next up is "Space Invaders", a high-octane cut that utilizes a trance-esque oscillating low end to captivate the listener. Get ready for an explosion of energy after the breakdown, transcendent.

Keith Carnal returns to BPitch Control with a rousing three-track excursion into the visceral side of techno. Stocked with deadly drum arrangements, thumping kicks and imposing basslines, Keith's armory is well equipped to cause maximum impact on the dancefloor. The title cut takes us straight into the depths of Carnal's wild mind, with a bombastic cut that utilizes a pitched down spoken word vocal. The storyteller takes us into a world of after party excess and "ape shit craziness" as the beats pump relentlessly. It's debauched, heavy and utterly alluring... Next up is "FreizeitAktivität", firing on all cylinders with a snub-nosed kick and slinky snares, that lead you into the main body of the track where a hypnotic melody plays out. The melody is emotive and evokes a feeling of solemnity, all the while those powerful drums fuel a rapid pace. Lastly, "WiederGutMachung", a brooding cut where Carnal employs a stripped back arrangement to great effect. The main riff has an unsettling feel, cultivating an anxious atmosphere complemented by the pounding beats.

Berlin techno luminary Ellen Allien turns her attention to the romantic darkwave duo Lebanon Hanover with this double pack of remixes. These cuts began life as personal edits for her own DJ sets in 2019, appearing in many shows since. First, she takes on "Living On The Edge". Larissa's vocals sit comfortably on top of the club-focused instrumental, which stays true to the original spirit of the song while reconfiguring it for the dancefloor. Ellen's second remix is a techno reinterpretation of "Invite Me To Your Country". Pulsating kick drums and an air of menace pervade throughout.

Detroit selector, producer, and label owner (Pure Sonik Records) DJ T-1000 lands once again on BPitch Berlin with The Dirrty Underground EP, a dirty, percussive and pounding back-to-basics techno four-tracker. DJ T-1000 aka Alan Oldham is a central figure in techno history. Detroit born and based in Berlin, he began his career in the early '90s with Underground Resistance, and is a prolific producer whose music has appeared on many labels including BPitch and Tresor. Behind the scenes, he runs legendary Detroit labels like Generator, Pure Sonik, and Detroitrocketscience, and also works as a graphic artist and illustrator, producing iconic cover and merch artworks for Djax-Up-Beats, +8, Transmat and many more. On The Dirrty Underground EP, Oldham utilizes the timeless techno fundamentals -- pummeling hardware percussion, tight loops, and chopped humorous samples, resulting in tracks quite different from his usual fare. "Clitfuck" and "Think You Can Handle It" are a pair of fast and loose hardware jams inspired by Ellen Allien's recent sets. As the name implies "I Love It In My Acid" is a murky, tunneling acid weapon, and "I Fucking Love Berlin", with its raw, sleazy groove, pays fitting homage to the Detroit-Berlin axis.
