"Cititrax is proud to present rare live recordings from Birmingham techno legend Regis. The 12" EP features recently uncovered recordings of Regis playing live in New York City on January 4th, 1997 at the famed New York Film Academy. Original tapes discovered by Evan Kreeger, studio work/transfers done by James Ruskin in London and audio mastered by Veronica Vasicka in New York. The EP will be pressed on 160 gram clear red vinyl and housed in a gloss sleeve, featuring text by Evan Kreeger. An excerpt is below: 'Gymnastics broke techno - first time performed! Regis has recreated this show for you - from the tapes in storage Over twenty years later - You're welcome! You are born! Now you can say you were there - rather than Skavoovee chore Damage and flame was our desire for this fight Two fans rebuffed tossed cinderblocks thru the front doors that night Locking up the Film Academy was only pageantry and a lie Nothing secure anymore - just crouch down - on your knees - crawl inside"

"Cititrax is thrilled to present a split EP by two massive talents, Borusiade and The Sixteen Steps. Borusiade, originally from Bucharest, Romania began as a DJ in the early 2000s and then started producing music in 2005. With a background in classical music, she combined her love of raw electronics, obscure themes and melodic lines to create her own signature sound. She has released on the Cómeme label as well as Correspondant. 'Infatuation' and 'Confutation' are dark, moody and intense tracks that catch you upon first listen. The flip side of the Promises And Infatuation EP features The Sixteen Steps, the brainchild of George Lanham who cut his musical teeth DJing and running events in the south of England. We have been listening to many of his tracks endlessly for a while now. They've also been a highlight of Veronica Vasicka's DJ sets as of late. 'Signals From The South' and 'Promises On The Run' are both immaculately produced, hypnotic, dance floor killers. They are sparse ebm meets smoky warehouse techno, and offer a wonderful contrast to Borusiade's layered emotive tracks that reminisce of an East Village club in the 1980s. Themes of infatuation, appearances, and anonymity appear throughout this EP from the music itself right through to the cover art. Limited edition vinyl pressing of 999 copies."

"Cititrax is proud to present a four song debut solo EP by The Hacker's new project called Amato. Influenced by early EBM, German techno and new wave, Michel Amato aka The Hacker began producing tracks under his new moniker Amato in 2014. The first one to be released, called Physique, came out in 2015 on the Cititrax Tracks Volume One EP and was a dancefloor success. On this forthcoming EP, entitled Le Desordre et La Nuit, Amato integrates his love of the new wave to form four EBM tinged techno funk hits. Very dancefloor friendly, these tracks take pop elements reminiscent of Belgian body music and bring them to the present day. Amato shines as a producer here, as he has so many times before. It's an absolute honor for us to release this debut project. Artwork is sourced from photographs taken in NYC in the 1980s with layout by Veronica Vasicka. The release is limited to 999 copies pressed on 160 gram silver vinyl, and accompanied by jackets printed on matte heavyweight cardstock."

"Cititrax is excited to present the second in a series of four song samplers showcasing the talents of some of the most innovative producers of the moment. Cititrax: Tracks Volume Two features the fearless and ultra-talented Chinese producer Tzusing, the raw avant-garde electronics of London based producer L/F/D/M, creative West Coast powerhouse Silent Servant, and prolific underground French producer Maelstrom. The overall sound can be described as modern, uncompromising and guttural. Each artist reinvents dance music by bringing their own unique vision to the floor. Artwork designed by Veronica Vasicka and sourced from Polaroids shot in NYC clubs in the 1980s, Cititrax: Tracks Volume Two is pressed on blood red clear vinyl -- limited to 999 copies and housed in a matte printed sleeve."

"Full length album (2x12") by key Cititrax artist Broken English Club. After the strong reception of his split EP with Silent Servant, solo work for both Cititrax and Jealous God, and recent feature on the Cititrax: Tracks Volume One EP, Oliver Ho (also known for his Raudive alias) expands upon the themes in his earlier output. Now though, he is presenting Broken English Club as the multifaceted project that it is. He fearlessly exposes a range of emotion through varying sound, texture and song structure. The result is a manifestation of his influences (post punk, noise, techno, grindcore) melded into his own unique vision and culminating in an album that sounds absolutely massive, both on and off the dance floor. About Broken English Club, in Oliver's own words: 'It's not about some idea of the future, it's about a grubbier seedier world. Theres no superior technology here, there's a romance to damp concrete buildings and abandoned reservoirs. Somewhere in the nursing homes that smell of bleach and piss, under the jaundice yellow glow of street lights, there's a dark soul. I like music with a sense of dread, there's drama or suspense in that feeling somewhere. I am fueled by the energy and noise of 1980's grindcore. The track "Scum" is a tribute to the Napalm Death song of the same name. Those kind of brutalist noise bands are a very English thing to me, the oblivion of that is romantic. I am fascinated and disgusted by things, and I like that friction. The best things in life seem perverted and disgusting at first and then become beautiful and transcendent. I have these ideas filling my head and it gives me a sense purpose, I owe it to these obsessions of mine to see them through, to give them a place to exist. That's Broken English Club.' This album will be pressed on 160 gram splattered black and clear double vinyl limited to 999 copies, housed in a heavy weight high gloss sleeve, featuring art direction by Veronica Vasicka and Silent Servant with photography by Corinne Schiavone."

Cititrax: Tracks Volume One features Amato, an edgy new project brought to you by The Hacker, Tzusing, a young producer from China known for his hard-hitting L.I.E.S. releases, our beloved Berlin based former New Yorker An-i, and Oliver Ho's stunning Broken English Club. The overall sound can be described as modern, uncompromising and guttural. Each artist reinvents dance music by bringing their own unique vision to the floor. "Cititrax is proud to present a follow-up to An-i's Kino-i debut 12", released at the start of 2014. An-i continues his love affair with electronics offering us three distinct slabs of throbbing machine funk. The opening track 'Gutz' is a dense mutant high energy number, modern yet timeless. Rut, the first track An-i recorded whilst still living in New York and the first one to catch our attention, opens the B side with a massive dose of syncopated teutonic mayhem, spacier and sparser than the rest. Save Us completes the release with an anthem of dirty warehouse techno. The record is pressed on 160 gram fluorescent magenta orange vinyl and housed in a high gloss grey Pantone sleeve."

"Cititrax is proud to present a full length LP by Brooklyn duo Further Reductions. Shawn O'Sullivan and Katie Rose formed Further Reductions in 2008 as an outlet for their shared passion of electronic dance music. O'Sullivan, known for his recent techno releases as Vapauteen on L.I.E.S., 400PPM on Avian and Civil Duty (with Beau Wanzer of Streetwalker) on The Corner has been quite active lately blurring the lines between techno and noise music. With Further Reductions, O'Sullivan's rhythmic sensibility is fused with Rose's pop leanings to create super lush and atmospheric tracks that work both on and off the dance floor. Informed by the sounds of classic techno and early house, they subtly substitute the structure of functional club music with a more primal absorption based in their unique collaboration. Seductive vocals coupled with organically evolving sequences create a complex narrative that penetrates the subconscious in a way that conventional club music rarely threatens to. Woodwork is an edition of 999 copies pressed on 160 gram clear vinyl with purple and silver splatter, presented in a high gloss printed LP jacket."

"An-I is the latest musical moniker for Berlin based former New Yorker Doug Lee. Doug has been DJing and producing records for the last decade under various aliases and collaborations. The Cititrax EP Kino-I will be the debut release and home for An-I, a showcase of his love affair with machines. It fronts a hard hitting sound beyond category, moving from techno to jack to punk and to noise. It suggests an anything goes attitude perhaps dictated more by the will of machines themselves then any author. Pressed on 160 gram fluorescent yellow vinyl and housed in a high gloss black and white sleeve."

"Cititrax is honored to introduce Bruta Non Calculant, a new project by Alaxis Andreas G, the mastermind behind Le Syndicat Electronique and numerous other analog electronic, experimental and esoteric industrial folk projects. Alaxis formed Bruta Non Calculant in 2006 along with his brother Victor-Yann (De Frontanel). Their debut album, World in a Tear, presents 10 tracks drenched in a dark European atmosphere complete with a sound fully formed and heroically executed. Themes of death, lust, and unrequited love are all bound in this brown book-esque collection. The songs occupy their own space and communicate in their own language and as such almost seem to have the ability to alter time once the listener has succumbed to their discordant beauty. An unsurprisingly impressive comeback, Bruta Non Calculant's debut album blends new wave elements with folkloric balladry impeccably, and approaches this with a modern sensibility. World in a Tear is an elegant collection of seductive songs. Pressed on ultra clear 160 gram vinyl and housed in a matte full color printed sleeve."

"Facit is the brainchild of Joakim Karlsson hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, who also released under Jocke & Elliot back in 2010. Featuring both Karlsson and the lovely Mai Nestor on vocals, Facit is quintessential melancholic Swedish wave at its finest. Exquisitely produced, the EP is a minimal synth wave gem, drawing some inspiration from French Chanson as well. Mat Åt Duvorna is pressed on 160 gram milky clear vinyl, the first 300 copies feature a black haze on the vinyl. The total run of this release is limited to 999 copies."

"Minimal Wave takes an old sound in a new direction entirely, giving Futurisk's classic 'Lonely Streets' a modern shake-up through a remix package from current artists. Futurisk, an electro-punk group made legendary by their anarchistic records and explosive live shows, mysteriously disappeared from a thriving scene in 1984. With an electric and dynamically layered sound (created with pre-MIDI instrumentation), the South Florida group left an indelible mark in the crates of disco and minimalist collectors dotted around corners of the world. Includes remixes by four of the band's biggest fans, each of whom have a sound as iconic as the band themselves: Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle, Chris & Cosey), Tom Furse (The Horrors), Prince Language (DFA, Editions Disco), and Complexxion from the UK."

"Chicago duo Streetwalker, comprised of molecular biologist Beau Wanzer (Mutant Beat Dance/L.I.E.S) and electronic music aesthete Elon Katz (White Car/Hippos in Tanks), wrote their debut album Future Fusion over the course of two years. Through endless experimentation and analog improvisation they have constructed an entirely new sound showcasing vibrant hand-played synthesizer, vulnerable vocals, and serpentine drum lines. Streetwalker's distinct song structures are characterized as much by restraint, timing, and subtle shift as by the cyclic abandon of the loop. Having recorded the entire album over one humid weekend in the Chicago studio Minbal, the duo's recording process mirrored this tension. Much like a rock record, each track was recorded entirely live to 1" tape -- no overdubs, no MIDI programming -- and then painstakingly mixed with digital precision during the six months that followed. In line with this principle of handcrafted reconfiguration, the artwork for the LP was produced in collaboration with digital artist Spencer Longo (IMG Masters/The Jogging), who harvested images and textures from Wanzer's extensive collection of classic sci-fi and horror editorial to construct an anachronistically futuristic interface."

"The tracks 'Native State' and 'Cut to Cleanse' are exclusive 7" only versions. The record is pressed on clear blue vinyl and comes in a hand silk-screened sleeve, limited edition of 999 numbered copies. The name Kontravoid belongs on a limited run cassette circa 1980-something, the type of tape buried in lost upstate dustbins of pre-MIDI analog electronics, wedged between Cabaret Voltaire and Das Ding. The dark industrial and new wave influences are strong on ex-Crystal Castles drummer Cam Findlay's new project - his voice is scary, like an echoing underwater growl - but the underlying pop melodies always afford a degree of breathing room."

Minimal Wave sub-label. "Cititrax is proud to present new music from Brooklyn based synth duo Innergaze. The Mutual Dreaming LP is a limited pressing of 999 copies on 160 gram vinyl, housed in a high quality full color printed sleeve featuring a collaborative artwork concept by Veronica Vasicka and Aurora Halal." "Innergaze drag us slightly further back into the glorious cradle of dance music. Their music, crushed and static, obscured by sound. EBM, coldwave, early techno fight it out for dominance of the drum machine. Casually brutal vocals force their way through from the Death Factory. As if Chris & Cosey's dalliances with the Eurythmics had conjured a restless pioneering demon to duet with Annie Lenox but had instead ended up consuming her. Celestial synths coexisting with the industrial landscape bellow." --20 Jazz Funk Greats
