Fresh from releasing his first artist album for Deep Medi (Dark 365) and overseeing a prolific year in charge of his Navy Cut imprint, J. Sparrow debuts on Coyote Records with two tracks of abstract, excursive pressure. Although long revered as one of dubstep's core UK innovators, Sparrow has also spent time experimenting with different sounds, palettes and rhythms over the last two years. "Single Time" and "VHS", both written during this period, not only spotlight Sparrow's willingness to aim for the outer reaches, but also embed themselves neatly within the Coyote Records discography defined by the new-gen grime of producers like Last Japan, Silk Road Assassins, and Utah. Still cut with a rolling dubstep lean, A-side "Single Time" is heavy on the hollowed-out, dubby weight and scything bass jabs, while B-side "VHS" -- referred to by Sparrow himself as "Egyptian grime in the 1980s" -- a bleepy, filmic, widescreen stepper that draws from the past as much as it does Sparrow's take on shiny, sci-fi grime of the future.

Sheffield-based producer Utah? debuts on Coyote Records with new four-track EP, Bronze. Utah? is a natural fit amongst Coyote Records' widescreen, cinematic producers. Bronze is a testament to his ever-broadening scope and vision too, which first started to unfurl across two standout EPs. Although rooted in the club, Bronze opens with the twisted, neo-noir ripple of mind-blurring cut, "Tilt", before drawing on the pulsing synths of "Signal", the raw dub-weight of the booming title-track and the rich, ear-worm melodies and insatiable club swing of emphatic final jam, "Polymer".

Bristol-based producer Drone makes his bow for Coyote Records with the release of a new four-track EP, Light Speed. Inspired by the clinical, freeze-dried grime of label contemporaries like Last Japan, as well as Sector 7 bosses Boofy and Lemzly Dale, Drone has probed, honed and developed his sound to marry the raw impact of his early beats with detailed, widescreen scope.

Inspired by sci-fi, rap and the music of label mates like Silk Road Assassins, Marks and Letta, VIO_L3T's "Cloud-Tech" bristles with discovery, heavily road-tested in the club and on Rinse FM over the last two years. E.M.M.A. turns in a stunning, widescreen remix of "Cloud-Tech" inspired by her own cosmic intuitions.

Coveted beat-maker, DJ, and long-time Coyote Records mainstay Last Japan releases his most extensive work since 2014 mixtape, Ride With Us. Across seven tracks, he shifts between shimmering, expansive sound design ("Tether", "Cold Skies") and the razor sharp, clinical grime productions ("U Wot MVIII", "Squad", "B4 All That") he has long been sought-after for. Rising London MC Prynce Mini features on the anthemic "Wrong One", switching between gritty hood flows and his own infectious, auto-tuned hooks.

Following a series of standout releases on stateside imprint, Astral Plane, E.M.M.A. returns to Coyote Records for the first time proper with new 12". On "Mindmaze", described by E.M.M.A. herself as "medieval funky" and originally made for a Mumdance mix on Rinse FM, she pokes fun at the club, going in sample-heavy and re-fixing anthemic Windows 95-era melodies over a stampeding, heavyset 4x4 beat. "Pumpkin Emoji" references the glossy, crystalline textures and lo-slung 808 bass of early E.M.M.A. gems; a potent reminder of why she remains one of the UK's most innovative and quietly rebellious club producers.

OH91, having released his debut record with Coyote, Stealth (COY 005EP, 2013), returns to the label with Shuttle. Honing in on a day-dot instrumental grime sound favored by MCs, OH91's work on "Shuttle" is sharp and brutally effective; sirens form the basis of the short intro, as a booming, looping beat -- boosted by tense, anxious strings -- slingshots the track straight into the dance. Dutch producer JLSXND7RS, fresh from producing a number of tracks for Wiley on latest album, The Godfather (2017), throws down a fierce, contorted remix full of warped sounds and eerie, sci-fi bleeps.

Following a standout remix of Spokes' "Flight" in 2016, Miami-based producer Marks makes his debut proper with Drain. Discovered after Coyote Records found his SoundCloud page and lead track "Drain" in particular. Marks' sound -- a distorted, grainy take on US rap beat-making -- was inspired partly by growing up in Jamaica and coming into contact with rap and video game soundtracks after moving to the US. While his music may appear simple on first listen, it masks a deeper, darker complexity. Title track "Drain" is a hypnotic, three-minute loop that lands somewhere in between blissful dream and shadowy, dystopian nightmare, while "South Cold" spouts tension and anxiety from every bar. This theme continues on the crunchy shrill of "Lantern", while final track "Dash" signs off with dizzying melodies and scurrying beats on a harder, club-focused note. Spokes turns in a stunning widescreen remix of "Drain" that wouldn't feel out of place on the OST to a rebooted slasher movie.

Forever returns to Coyote Records for his first full EP, Hymn EP, which explores the myriad sounds, layers, and textures that have come to define his music. The delicate, slow-burning cinema of widescreen opener "Gweilo", the shadowy eeriness of "Hymn", and the crunchy, industrial club heat of "Swamped", each point to different reference points, but all feel interlinked by Forever's grip on atmosphere and tone. Chemist (Silk Road Assassins) turns in a booming edit of "Hymn", complete with re-booted, icy melodies that fire off like shards of glass and rude 808 patterns that nod to his work with SRA.

Letta provides his second album for Coyote Records, Redemption. A new-found trajectory throughout the early months of 2016 and although still bound by sadness, details a producer who has finally come to terms with his past. More song-based than his debut Testimony (COY 001CD, 2015) - see the stunning and mournful "She Does Die", featuring New York vocalist Fielded, as a case in point - Redemption also sees Letta work with producers outside the Coyote Records camp for the first time, with Ryan Hemsworth and Mr. Mitch both making appearances. There are flashes of anger and disdain in both the title track - gritty and snarling instrumental grime - and the anthemic "You Were Wrong" which follows on from Testimony's emotional out-pouring. Redemption tells the second part of Letta's story with a deft and delicate hand.

Silk Road Assassins release two sought-after tracks - "Deadcell" and "3M Kunai". "Deadcell" is a bittersweet five minutes of abstract, trap euphoria - first emerged at the back end of 2014 and it has since taken on mythical status online. "3M Kunai" was the beat chosen by Chicago rapper Mikey Dollaz on an early 2016 collaborative single, "Commas". Comprised of three producers; long-time Coyote signees Chemist and Tom E. Vercetti, and close friend Lovedr0id, Silk Road Assassins have taken cues from a shared appreciation of hip-hop beat-makers, Chicago drill and UK grime.

Consisting of four tracks, Flight showcases an evocative, maturing sound and Spokes's flair for original sound design, as testified by the dwindling space and eerie, pitched-up vocals of NYC singer-songwriter, Anna Folwell, utilized on "Failed State". The grand, ceremonious intro to square-wave grime flip, "Mercurial", is also a highlight, while title-track, "Flight" - a dreamy, washed out, beat-tape cut - again sees Spokes explore new dynamics to his sound. Miami-based producer Marks turns in a crunchy, clapped-out remix of the title-track.

Tom E. Vercetti announces himself on the solo front with his debut 12" awash with widescreen celestial melodies, not least on the anthemic lead track "Future Perfect," on which synths dazzle like star systems above the broad physicality of his basslines. Experimenting with melody forms such an integral part of Vercetti's production process, and this continues to take center stage on "Fugitive" and "Infinite Plane." Where his synths forge fantastical soundscapes, the beats keep you moving, with structures that blend elements of grime and hip hop in the heaviest possible way. Includes a remix by Chemist.

Coyote Records are proud to present their debut album release, Testimony, produced by the immensely talented, little-known Letta. Letta's Testimony is an intensely personal and introspective musical manifestation of his years spent battling addiction, violence, and homelessness. His unique experiences and circumstances are conveyed through a kaleidoscope of synth-doused soundscapes, palpably melancholic but not without occasional glimpses of light. Testimony soars with flourishes of eski color, soulful vocal manipulations, and thick, melodic basslines in a style that touches on grime and hip hop yet is truly characterized by the emotive effect of compositions that transfix with their depth and imagination. Over eight tracks, Letta offers an encapsulating glimpse into his world; an album built to be listened from edge to edge. As a bonus, Letta also exchanges remixes with Last Japan -- Letta remixes Last Japan's "Harca" and Last Japan returns fire with his rework of Letta's "The Recluse." Design by Br3321. Photos by Gnarly. Mastered by Beau Thomas.

Following vital contributions to both previous Coyote Kings compilations, Spokes elevates his productions to next-level territory with the Green Eyes EP. "Lo Pan Strikes" features soaring pentatonic melodies offset by futuristic blasts of percussion and precision-engineered bass. On "Ritalin," bright synths swirl and fragment in every direction over even sparser drums and bleeps. The mood darkens a notch on "Mutations," with tautly-driven 808 bass and faintly sinister melodic flourishes. E.M.M.A turns in a remix of "Ritalin" that is nothing short of stunning, completely switching up the vibe with a blurry haze of shimmering synths and reconfigured basslines.

"Having written and released 'Harca' in the first half of 2014... it has probably been one of the only tracks of mine that I've consistently played in every set since... The remixes complement the original perfectly as two great interpretations of the track" --Last Japan. "It's a really colorful track so I wanted to retain that feeling while adding my own twist... I wanted to take a melodic approach and tried to expand on some of the melodies in the original, rather than stripping it back too much" --Tom E Vercetti. Also includes a remix by Forever Forever.

Chemist's "Defiance" impacts with awesome force; stark dynamic contrasts, diamond-edged percussive accents and a powerful bass line that lurks menacingly in the low-end spectrum. Rabit -- a master of deconstruction -- reduces the track down to its core elements and reconfigures them to deliver his own, eminently unique version. "Blocks" is high-drama, moody instrumental grime at its best. "Blocks" is remixed by Last Japan, who develops the harmonies further with haunting choral synths and reworks the percussion, creating a neck-breaking swing and an absolutely massive bass line. White sleeve.

Spare's 1BLT EP links together four tracks that sit somewhere between the vividly melodic and nuanced instrumentals you might hear the Boxed lot playing, and some of the classic war-path riddims from grime's nascent movement. "1BLT" and "Boss Hog" feature that up-front, dance-wrecking energy with whirlwinds of hard-as-nails percussion clattering crisply around tough bass lines. The subtle melodic elements of both are explored more fully on the EP's other two tracks, with "Venom" and "Glide" building off thick low-end, and developing colorful, synth-heavy layers that demonstrate Spare's knack for full and rich compositions. With support from: Martelo, Mumdance, Sam Binga, Strict Face, OH91, Slackk, and Glacial Sound.

There's a restless groundswell of producers making some seriously rowdy grime beats down in Bristol in 2013, and the dank, claustrophobic club nights and tight-knit community of heads battling dub for dub has seen a crop of unruly riddims. One of the rudest soundboys of the lot goes by the name of OH91, and he brings that unabashed, soundsystem duppying, backhand-you-in-the-face toughness on his tracks. Coyote Records are hyped to welcome him to the crew as he drops heat with the peak-time gullyness of "Stealth," backed with remix fire from Slew Dem don and legendary selector, Spooky. Built around brash synth-lines, huge piston-pressurized drums and subs that hit hard and low, "Stealth" is grime built for the rave. Spooky's version agitates the rhythms with phrases of rolling two-step skanks, and treats the snyths with raw, acid-like corrosion, blasting you head-on with the same full sonic spectrum and levels of energy as his electrifying DJ sets.

Arctic has been running and promoting his own grime event called 50/50 in Melbourne and refining his own production style, inspired by the legends of days gone by. Shook features two original Arctic tracks, "Shook" and "Know This Don." In typical Coyote fashion, high-grade remix pressure is also provided, this time from Seattle's Kid Smpl with his re-interpretation of "Shook." The devastating precision of Arctic's production stands out, with razor-sharp rhythms and tightly-coiled percussion imbuing crisp swing and movement.

TS7 presents "Grade A," a colorful bass line number. In what will be his first vinyl outing since 2008, TS7 utilizes his 4x4 roots, working a clever, looping bass to perfection with some neat vocal sampling to give it bags of dancefloor swagger. Walton delivers an incredible, grimy rework, culminating in a series of ear-shattering breakdowns and some fantastic synth-work. Mella Dee's remix is a surefire dancefloor favorite.
