"Double LP retrospective of late '80s gothic folk collective, Annabelle's Garden. Annabelle's Garden were a radically underground goth-wave/neo-folk band founded in Hamburg, Germany by members of local acts La Lisa and Beyond Despair, most active between 1987 and 1997. Often compared to contemporaries like Death in June, Sol Invictus, or Current 93 (they toured extensively with 6Comm), they managed to create music that existed both in that realm and beyond, labeled as psychedelic, punk, new wave, and goth. You can clearly hear respect given to This Mortal Coil, The Cure, and The Wake -- making them as easily filed among classic World Serpent releases as they would fit among 4AD or Factory. The truth is, so little was known about Annabelle's Garden outside of Europe that their original releases on Kenaz extremely hard to find -- you were lucky to even have heard about them to know to search. However, what exists here in Annabelle's Garden is some of the most layered, deep, rich, and nostalgic music Dais has ever uncovered. This gorgeous limited gatefold double LP is comprised of not only the original Kenaz release from 1993: Wo Sind Nur Eure Götter Hin?, but also includes tracks from the band's original first recording and maiden cassette release, as well as a special never before heard remix of their classic anthem 'If.' Limited edition of 500 in a gorgeous gatefold double LP."

"The most recent installment of the rare and unheard archival recordings from the transgressive '70s performance art group COUM Transmissions. Founded in late 1969 by Genesis P-Orridge, COUM Transmissions' provocative performances mixed with visual art solidified the group as one of the most forward thinking breakthroughs within the '70s conceptual art scene. Only in the past couple years has COUM's recorded works seen the light of day. This release collects various selections spanning the years 1971 through 1975, including a rare live performance opening for Hawkwind, lost radio interview, obtuse poetry readings by early member Fizzey Peat, piano and violin compositions by Genesis P-Orridge, and insightful field recordings. Limited to 1,000 vinyl copies."

"The cacophonic discord of Missing Foundation and the prophetic vision of Peter Missing culminated into a follow up album following their legendary self-titled debut which was collected under the banner as 1933 Your House Is Mine. This sophomore effort was brought about in 1988 as a means to educate the forgotten and venerate their followers using brash performance tactics and industrial rhythm to rally their cause. An industrial soundtrack of urban protest, Missing Foundation found their voice, garnishing attention from the mainstream as well as being lauded by underground. The cultural divide had been marked with Missing Foundation's flipping martini glass signature declaring that the party was over. After being out of print for almost 25 years, Dais has reissued this legendary recording in a limited edition of 500 copies." Includes download code.

"In the 1980s, New York City was a dismal wasteland filled with urban decay and creative miracles. It was only a matter of time before the suits saw an investment opportunity, with cash in hand they bought off NYC and started the criminal gentrification of downtown New York, sterilizing any sense of culture and fumigating all residents deemed financially worthless. This kind of invasion brought the perfect storm in the form of Missing Foundation. Founded by Peter Missing in the early '80s, Missing Foundation and their 'Party's Over' logo challenged the governing trends of NYC, pouring gasoline on the tinderbox of the class war taking place on the city streets. Known for their hostile and fiery performances (and infamous ban from CBGB's in the late '80s), Missing Foundation left a scorched mark behind and started a movement still felt in the underground community today. Their debut album was originally released on Purge/Sound in 1987 and now Dais is honored to being reissuing this masterpiece of industrial folklore to a new generation who forgot where it started. Countless thanks to Erik Proft and Bill Cashman for all their help in making this happen. Limited to 500 copies."

"The beautiful, enigmatic shoegaze bliss of L.A.'s own Cold Showers returns to Dais with a new single. Two virgin cuts which bring their lush heartbeat back to life. 'The Fire,' a fluid post punk anthem drenched in romantic heartbreak, crying to the masses for love. On the heels is 'Crowds,' an acoustic, crooning diamond which shines through the daybreak. "One-man industrial outfit, Deviation Social left a scar on the face of the American 80′s experimental/noise scene that has mysteriously been left to legend and rumor. Dais previously released the first authorized reissue of Deviation Social's compilation tracks dating back from the early '80s. Here within, Volume 2 compiles the two proper 'studio' releases of Deviation Social's checkered past. The destructive Tempus Purgatio Part 7 single and 1982 album cassette Workforce/Deathwatch are finally collected and reissued as a single LP in a edition of 500 with zine booklet with writings and archival images from Deviation Social." "Blinding white magic in light of the new age opera, the Dangerous Boy's Club bring the heat. DBC has the lips of a killer, the unholy choir of the repentant, and the glamour cast from gold. Known for their history in such outfits as Heroin, Antioch Arrow, and Get Hustle, their debut album Vril on Fast Weapons awoke followers out of their coma. Dais now brings everyone to the altar with their follow up LP, Pris. Sacramental electro synth-rock mixed with glam violence inducing one into a state of bliss and ecstasy. Not from this world, not of this time, but DBC knows exactly what we needed to hear. Making sure that everything will be alright, just give in to the club. Limited edition of 500, soaked in soul." "The noise rock parade that defies definition, set out on a mission of pure volume worship that is the post-decade pilgrimage of NY-based Sightings. After eight instinctive albums, the Sightings guys show no mercy with endless annihilation of their newest material on Terribly Well. All parts destruction measured against their abrasive songwriting. Jagged, collapsing rhythm based mayhem, guitars that can be mistaken for a freight train being ripped for scrap metal, only to be held together with panic stricken bass patterns that keep their voice from the edge of insanity. An accessible album for the unacceptable; their finest record to date. Each song saws through the humanity, taking no hostages with this hectic industrial rock masterpiece. Edition of 500." "Cold Showers, a band formed in Los Angeles, CA in 2010, fuses the brash power of the shoegazers with the smoky compulsions of the no-wavers - Cold Showers would fit comfortably within the dusty catalog of Factory Records, if only for an industrial subtlety in terms of electronics and acoustics. A piston-precision rhythm section drives all these loud, crafty pop songs. This is the pervasive pop mode against which Cold Showers cast themselves, but they aren't fired in steel to the darkside. Founding members Jonathan Weinberg, Jessie Clavin, Brian Davila, Renee Adams and Chris King, added since, have a lumbering, sometimes terrifying beast of a band - we'd be remiss not to follow its caustic, addictive trek."

"After releasing their debut LP on Dais in the summer of 2010, Sasha Grey, Ian Cinnamon and Pablo St. Francis grouped together under the banner of aTelecine once again, this time composing the recent soundtrack to the English/German film Entkopplung. The film itself is a highly esoteric science fiction labyrinth in the shape of Phillip K. Dick meets William S Burroughs. 'The surreality of certain dreams, or the intense attraction of a perplexity of new impressions in real life.' Recorded and mixed in a marathon four day live to tape session using the mammoth 226 page script and the existing 30 minutes of completed footage as a scoring template, the music is dark, paranoid and claustrophobic echoing the themes in the film. This electronic score should be heard as a separate but yet equal vehicle to the film, an experience the listener shouldn't worry about it altering the later cinematic encounter. Sonically it's mission is complex and non-vocal, purely enriching the narrative, and melodically creating all the necessary in-between nightmare illustrations. Limited to 500 copies on transparent green vinyl." Includes download code and glossy insert.

"Tor Lundvall has graced us with yet another remarkable album this year. Previously, Lundvall had introduced himself to Dais with his masterpiece album Sleeping & Hiding and struck lightning twice with the resilient The Seasons Unfold box set and now we are humbled to be crafting the strings with the curation of his most recent effort. The Shipyard was recorded during the dramatic season change-over of '09/'10, during which time Lundvall was immersing himself in portrait studies of local maritime themes and nautical life at the docks. This instrumental collection of songs composed the soundtrack to the final renderings of these conceptual ideas put side by side, for which semblance he is most know for. Limited to 500 hand numbered vinyl copies (comes with a free MP3 download coupon) with artwork by Tor Lundvall."

"Folk artist and American tattooer Robert Ryan turned the holy ones onto their backs with his solo folk roots recording endeavor under the name of American Cloud Songs . Previously getting his ideas in order under his band Harmonize Most High and his conceptual collaborations with artist Daniel Higgs, Ryan's understanding of meditative drone coupled with hidden knowledge of the metaphysical plane make American Cloud Songs compositions stand over to the cliff, harmonically in tune with itself, steeped heavily in primitive folk tradition and sacred geometric imagery. Featuring artist contributions by Nathan Bell (Lungfish), Neil O'Brien (The Van Pelt) and free jazz legend Danial Carter. Recorded by Alap Momin (Dalek /This Immortal Coil). Limited to 300 copies." "For the unaware, Seth Price is an conceptual visual artist who lives and works in New York, considered by most to be one of the most interesting and thought-provoking artists to currently be at work. His sculpture, video and painting has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Tate London and the Museum of Modern Art, while gracing the cover of Art Forum last year, as well as countless other publications. Price has been working in sound and music for a number of years; though most recordings were controlled under hyper-limited releases through select galleries worldwide. This special reissue LP release gathers and remasters tracks recorded between 2000 and 2002 and originally released on a limited edition CD through the Reena Spaulings Art Gallery, collected under the title of Army Jacket. This limited reissue LP contains an exclusive edit and remaster of his seminal avant-pop masterpiece by Seth Price featuring new, exclusive artwork by Price. Limited to 500 copies." "This is an absolute time capsule of blasphemous American black metal, a collection of the only material (two demo cassettes) ever recorded by Louisville, Kentucky's Lord Foul between 1993 and 1994, who's only member 'Roach' played and recorded every instrument. A hateful document from the early metal underground! This vinyl is a single-sided etched art edition, with beautiful artwork by Bryan Burk of Dark Horse Tattoo carved into the B-side. Comes in a thick cardstock matte finish sleeve with new foil embossed artwork (also by Burk.) " Limited, numbered edition of 500 copies. Includes a 4-page glossy insert.

"Andrew King, along with collaborators Brown Sierra, send forth a follow-up EP to last year's folk diamond Thalassocracy. The Kraken sounds like a traditional maritime shanty ripped from history's pages, laced with experimental beauty, electronic hisses, and static. Andrew's own background as one of the primary members of Sol Invictus (alongside Tony Wakeford) and The Triple Tree mixed with his studies of ancient English folklore forged with Brown Sierra's epic electronic noise instrumentation make this release one to be anticipated and easily one of the most remembered folk recordings of the past year. "10 years ago, Ian Read's (Fire + Ice) Fremdheit label released two neofolk/experimental compilations under the name 'The Pact'. The second of these compilations contained an unforgettable track from an Australian outfit called Beastianity. Curious about the band and eager to hear more, we tried to dig up as much information as possible -- but very little (if any) information was readily available. We were able to find the band shortly after the creation of Dais in 2007, and are proud to announce, along with Praise Dog Publishing, the first ever vinyl release of Beastianity's first and only album Root, originally released in 1999 on CD and in Australia only. This record is hands down one of the rawest and most unrelenting albums in the neofolk genre. A purely pagan classic. Renown for their wild (and often violent) performances, Beastianity somehow managed to capture that energy in 12 tracks of Dog-Blessed glory." Limited, numbered edition of 300; includes insert.
