"It's time for a Brasilian-German-Canadian connection through this new Defrag release. Robert Babicz and Pan/Tone are at the controls, remixing Gui Boratto and delivering two fine gems. Babicz shows his skills with an elegant and powerful tune -- driving and hypnotic with that super fat sound that only Robert has. On the other side, we proudly welcome our friend Pan/Tone on board. His debut for us is a percussive and sophisticated tune with an old school appeal."

On white vinyl. "Here we go with the new Defrag from our Brazilian friend Gui Boratto. I Feel Love is one of those very special records that goes far and further from the boring trends of the moment. As we like to say it's a 'timeless techno' tune, an open air magik track with vibrant pads full of synthetic feelings and processed voice that reminds the best moments of the disco from the '80s or, if you prefer, as our friends at Kompakt, you can define it: elegant techno."

"After the huge hit 'Tales from the Lab' by Gui Boratto, we are proud to present the follow up with a very special edition of remixes. A1: the first track grows out of the hands of Sian, one of the coolest producer actually around. In the 'No Lab Animals' remix Sian took the hook of the original track merged with a strong bassline and an incredible huge sound. The B side is by Axel Bartsch, already known for his productions on Sportclub, Kompakt, Spielzeug. His 'Dirty Disco RMX' is a sexy and polished tune with percussion, an hypnotic synth that will blow your mind and a funky bassline. Both tracks give new life to this anthem."

"Gui Boratto doesn't need any introductions, actually he is simply one of the best techno producers around. 'Tales From The Lab' is a masterpiece featuring multiple sensations. 'Part 1' is a cool and insane tune, pumping groove based with guitar inserts and acid mind-blowing basslines. 'Part 2' is a pure dancefloor killer, in the very own Boratto style based on emotional melodies and soundscapes for massive crowd reactions!"

"With this record Defrag define a new musical direction after the acclaimed Solid Color series is time to start a new sonic era. Glitches is one name you are going to see and hear again and again and again in future. This second mature output on Defrag shows their skill! Their music is enjoyable in the dancefloor as on your sofa. The a side is a stunning killer dark trip with moments of intensity and detail. On the flip 'Son of the Beat' starts with a rubbery bassline and grows slowly through a swirling synth and a pinching beat that suck you into a sonic vortex, simply HUGE!"

"Defrag proudly presents a new jewel from our vault: Glitches, the hottest newcomers from Napoli. With competent minimalism they easily drive through reduced dub-tech, monotone percussive lines, growing arpeggios and hypnotic melodies that will stay in your mind forever. Just the kind of sound you cannot resist in times of downbreaking walls between techno and house."

"This is the time to host Lee Van Dowski and Quenum with this astonishing EP. The A-side is in pure minimal Defrag style, these two tracks 'The Torque Machine' and 'Rotating1955' fit perfectly the Defrag solid taste, no compromises: pure modern floating techno for sophisticated dancefloors. The B-side is a mind blowing surprise 'muvo' digital funkism and complicated rhythms flow seamlessly into the body of the track. 'The Torque Machine' is just the result of the perfect combination between these two very talented producers."

"Franklin de Costa's debut on Defrag, two groove monsters, a very personal and rare ability for modern sound sculpturing and knob twisting. Focusing on wild fresh funkyness and post-Detroitish attitude, Franklin shows, through the complex architecture of these tracks, his technique in fusing different styles in a modern way. The A-side track 'Butterfly' grows slowly and deeply, the fat bassline reef will blow your mind! On the flip side, 'First Wall' is a complex mixture of self-generated sounds, voices, background noises and evolving synths."

"Amblos Chapler is the new collaborative project by G-Man and Mario. Chapter one delivers two fat and deep techno trackers, in a Defrag distinctive kickin' minimal imprint. 'Levitation' is an oldschool flavoured tune: deep and atmospheric pad combined with straight techno rhythm patterns. On the flipsisde 'Sorbitol' is a mixture of techno and dub elements for sophisticated dancefloors. Definitely a sureshot!"

"Weltschmerz/All You Need is Love is sequenced ideally for listening, DJs will have to do a little bit more work if they're only looking for most rockin' parts. The recording starts with a transmission from deep space by a satellite that has smoked too much grass and strayed from its orbit around Detroit. The message in the broadcast is sent to all major science agencies around the world, but only after Brussels and Cologne join forces that it is decoded and the sound of asses shaking on a concrete dance-floor can be heard. The message is eventually leaked to all media outlets and becomes an anthem for all concrete floors from Tokyo to Istanbul and Constantinople. After some time, kids in black trench-coats get fed up hearing the message infiltrating even *their* favorite radio shows and construction equipment rentals reach an all-time high when all available jack-hammers are used to break up all the concrete that covers the globe. The populace of every town and metropolis everywhere cower in their sheds until the ruckus subsides and then stay there for a year or two beyond that just for good measure."

"After having hosted some of the names that have influenced us and given us inspiration and positive vibes over the years, as well as some undisputed talents in the current minimal scene, we are now ready with Mario's second release on DSP. His debut EP Don't Stop the Party obtained very good feedback overall and now here he comes with a two track EP with a high dancefloor appeal; groovy bass lines, uplifting synthlines and an extremely precise track development are the elements of this mature EP where his multiple influences and backgrounds flow into two groovy anthems that will last in your flight case for quite a long time! Get on it."

"Lee Van Dowski, after some wonderful releases on labels such Cadenza (incredible his duet with Quenum on number three), Mental Groove, Plak and his own Num joins forces with Tsack and delivers a three track EP with strong electronic influences. 'Unicare' (B1) is a powerful and uplifting journey into funky minimal techno made of complex rhythm patterns and perfect percussions. Just change sides and the flow continues with different moods with two more tracks: 'Nanospec' and 'TT127'."

"Here we go with another 12" on the DSP Solid Color series. This time Mario, one of the founders of the label, delivers a minimal-techno three tracker. The first side starts with 'It's Time To ...' a tech-funk excursion with a delicate dub imprint -- a2 'Minima Obsessio' is an emotional techno track with ambient atmosphere, deep and floating at the same time. On the flip side Terrae's rework 'More n More' show his skill: a hot minimal track with a constant hypnotic flow and his distinctive sounds. Stay tuned."

"Project by Tuscania (aka Marco Palmieri), Italian producer and Ter (aka Terry-Ann Frencken), Dutch DJ. Und is now released on DSP Recordings. Crashing melody-directed tech bases, with vocals in different languages, give their dance oriented music a personal touch with Tuscania using crazy minimalism as a style of living and Ter staying in a strange fairytale world, their work attains maximum harmony. 'Maxfield'. Ter's endless stories about her experience in the fashion world gave Tuscania the inspiration to come up with an exciting and dangerous track, that just perfectly induces the feeling of this fashion adventure. Tension sounds with explanatory vocals made the track become an encyclopedia for the words 'Showroom' and 'Maxfield'. 'Toverfee'. 'Toverfee' is the Dutch equivalent of a fairy. The vocals on this track were written by Innisfree, ter's little sister back in Holland. Und gave their magic interpretation to this, creating a distorted techno track. It should have been a sweet track, but Und is adult and the sweetness of the magic elf has then ebbed away. At least they work with this songwriter that tries to explain how you fulfill dreams: by just believing in them spontaneously. 'Ambivalente'. Timeless track. Inspiration comes from a simple old analog alarmclock belonging to Tuscania's grandfather. Linked up via several microphones and sensors, the noises produced by this device were processed and transformed during the performance 'Time Lapse' by a portable computer dedicated to real time manipulation. Repeated segments of the monotonous movement are interposed with casually captured melodies and sounds. Time as base of life, time as a base of the track."

"Following his contribution remixing 'Terrae', Jonas Bering does his great return on DSP, now supported by Bern (Traum) too. 'Diva' EP has its title from a really nice French thriller by Jean Jacques Beineix in early 1980's where a man surreptitiously tapes her favourite singer who refuses to have recordings of her performance made in the name of commercialism. On the a side, two tracks, 'Atletico' and 'Diva', by Jonas that moves himself throughout wide and deep techno views, filled with basses, irresistible rhythm lines, and brilliant sounds. On the b side, 'Respect to Diva' by Bern looks like an amazing orchestra moving and playing in a tube while waiting to see back the nightly stars."

"Mutter EP is the last production of Terrae following the first output, Hinterwaeldler EP, after more than one year. A 'new melodic' mood has here explored in spite of the sound sources used: ground noises and sine waves extremely modulated by heavy oscillations. On the a side, an unconscious exploration of the Oedipus complex has presented by Terrae emotively developed in two tracks: 'Sechs Acht' the adolescent milky revelation, and 'Mutter' the adult rum flavoured reflection. On the b side, 'Sukatopa' is a 'Mutter' micro-housy interpretation by Defrag Sound Processing. In this track the duo fuses minimal sound structured and deep beats with deconstructed voices and funky feelings."

"Third DSP output hosting Defrag Sound Processing, Terrae, and Darkfarmer (from the Swayzak duo). Showing different attitudes toward the spread horizons of the vanguard micro-tech present scene. A continuous exploration of sound conducted by quite unusual instruments, approaches, and cooperation. On the A side 'idk' by Defrag Sound Processing starts floating into a fusion of minimal electronics and post dub processing to create a soulful glitch-techno tune. On the same side 'Omina Blur' by Terrae, still using as exclusive sound source only electric grounds, and synthesis waves while viewing the sunset rarefaction ballet of a future age heroin. On the B side, Darkfarmer shows his reinterpretation abilities with an absolutely contemporary micro tech track, obtained remixing 'Omina Blur' by Terrae with the sounds taken from Defrag Sound Processing's tune."

"Glitchy and groovy techno by this Italian duo that focus his attention on the sound processing and on the use of a huge variety of sources such as microphone-recorded sounds, data errors, glitches or electronic masses. The imprinting dub and the audio editing flow seamlessly into the body of the tracks, their repetitive grooves combine dancefloor appeal and serious minimalism. The b side track is 'un' remixed by Gez Varley in pure G-man style, simple but effective."
