Huyghend's H1 displays an idea of pop music that came together through years of living, long rounds of editing, re-amping, sending files to friends, a vista of San Francisco, and walks on the outskirts of Cologne. The songs could appear in blazing sunlight, empty rooms, or city nights. On the sleeves of the 330 records, acrylic colors flow together and congeal in a clear plastic mass.

Viva Erotica has been a Gabba-beat chamber orchestra, a Facebook sculpture, a YouPorn recycling machine and is now becoming a piece of wax (a record). Four tracks are furious comments on the downfall of club music - the bass drum as a weapon against the bass drum - the other four want to forgive and forget. 2015 was the year of about-face. Each of the 330 records has a cutout from a coffee-table book plastered on the front.

For conceptual work found on Motip White's White EP, the artist draws samples from the furthest borders of the digital realm and exhibits them in large, white halls. This way, a quartet of detailed short stories unravels -- four kraut/ambient/house hybrids, compatible with both the club and long car rides. The artwork on each of the 330 records pressed was drawn with a spatula.

"DEEN" has been making the rounds in insider circles, clubs, and forums since at least 2014. The Cologne-based collective Dorfjungs has put together savings and manpower to release its third record in a limited run of 500 copies. Once again all the covers are handmade. Marvin Horsch -- who in 2013 laid the foundation for the label with Pace -- rounds off the EP with a further three diverse tracks. While the A-side stays true to the euphoric sound of the title-track, the flipside holds two slightly more eccentric tracks, which look to new directions in contemporary club sounds.

After Marvin Horsch's surprisingly successful 2013 Pace EP, Cologne techno collective Dorfjungs distinguishes itself from the masses of modern DJ culture once again with Motip White's debut EP Lywer Bent. Four rough and raw anthems sonically located where house elements meet sunrise romance. Exciting sounds and middle-finger madness, leading away from formulaic techno, only to drift into wonderful rave-melancholy. Trash samples plunge into brave breaks, leaving the audience wondering if all structure will fall apart just before everything returns with brutal impact. The EP features an incredibly warm and uplifting remix of "No Time for Trash" by ambient charmer Cass.
