DREIKLANG 005EP
|
Stellar new EP on the way from Dutch producer Qindek. Come Closer will be the fifth release from the label: it features the original mix "Come Closer" and three remixes from Voltmar, Edit-Select, and Kuf. The original cut is a primal, tribal number merged with club elements. Cologne based artist Voltmar takes the first remix, making the original feel more tribal, with more jungle elements. Edit-Select takes the track and elongates it, adding underground elements and a slight bit of tempo. Swedish artist Kuf, provides a high velocity, all-out assault club banger.

DREIKLANG 004EP

Dreiklang welcome Italian native Hydergine on their fourth record; continuing with the label's triangular remit of three juxtaposing interpretations per release. The aqueous tones of original track "Diving Alone" fluctuate hazily around one another, with dampened thumps and diluted synths uncovering a carefully-crafted mystery. Iori provides the first remix; upping the tempo with a sound honed through two years living in Berlin, and a pivot towards immersive sci-fi ambience. Dub techno pioneer JS Zeiter takes the baton on the flipside; known for his engrossing Basic Channel-influenced productions, Zeiter here dips dreamily above and below the waterline.

DREIKLANG 003EP

Stereoscope is Ennio Colaci's debut in Dreiklang's third triangular composition with Tadeo and David Hausdorf remixes. Ennio's "Stereoscope" steers away from Minimono's disco flavored house orientated sounds, bringing a warm palette of textures in the form of soft noise, percs, dubby delayed chords, and a sub kick and bass relationship reminiscent of early dub techno records. Alongside the title track there are two remixes from David Hausdorf and Tadeo. Tadeo roughens "Stereoscope" up and introduces a more techy sound, while David Hausdorf dries up the original, moving the focus to the dub chord.

Edit Select presents Loop Continue featuring Italian purveyors, Dino Sabatini and Claudio PRC. The three tracker kicks off with Tony Scott aka Edit Select, who goes straight to the point from the very start with a dusky loop that is slowly overcome by a glistening, luxuriant drone. Claudio PRC's rework has a hypnotizing bass drives the track forward while tranquil chords ease in and out of focus. Finally, Dino Sabatini closes the EP on a dreamy piece of broken-beat where beautiful glowing drones command attention. 180 gram vinyl with handmade covers by Nils Atland. Edition of 500.

DREIKLANG 001EP

180-gram vinyl. Limited edition of 500. Berlin-based vinyl-only label Dreiklang presents its first release, Londoner OCH's First Contact. Each Dreiklang release presents three contrasting takes on the same source material, juxtaposing and unifying three particular sub-currents of electronic music. "First Contact" takes a simple keyboard line into menacing territory, steering the dancefloor toward the grittier ends of tech-house. Italian producer Hydergine's remix is a smart dub-techno rework with mind-numbing kicks inciting an atmospheric joyride through the deeper ends of narcosis. Kelovolt's immersive remix sets drone-heavy soundscapes at center-stage for a delicately hypnotic finale. Artwork by Berlin artist Nils Altland.
