"This is a 1-off pressing of 100 copies only - each numbered (in various places). Musi features 6 tracks selected by the band from their past 11 years that forms a coherent and continuous work. While this is not a 'Best of...', it does provide an excellent introduction to the band for those not already familiar with them. Pepe Wismeer have a pretty extensive discography with a vinyl LP, CD, a remix LP and numerous CD-Rs to their name. While drawing comparisons with other artists is always difficult - and often misleading - their warm, mature and fluid musical style and melancholic visions may remind some of Coil, Current 93 and others. Their work is structured around piano and voice accompanied by electric/acoustic guitar, 5-string bass, concrete sounds, samples, oud, sitar, metallophone ... and maybe some sheep & birds & water & glass. All music recorded on analogue equipment to add warmth and handcraft to the icy atmospheres." Each copy comes with an 8-page stapled booklet + insert.

"R.Y.N. are a UK-based duo probably best known for their Astral Death CD (Unrest Productions) and an excellent 7" on Drone Records. On this vinyl-only release R.Y.N. present 44 minutes of completely new recordings: a mix of archaic, unsettling, new and melancholy. This album took many months to record due to the care and attention to detail exacted by the duo. This LP provides both classic R.Y.N. darkness plus even heavier oppressive, dark soundscapes that can only be fully appreciated on vinyl over the two side-long tracks: 'Archaic Techniques Of Ecstacy' and 'Provisional Sketch Of The Mind.' Pressed on virgin 180 gram black vinyl and housed in a deluxe silkscreened card sleeve (by Seizure Palace) plus a printed inner sleeve and inserts. If you don't know their work, then this is definitely worth exploring. If you do know them, then this is a must. The driving motive behind R.Y.N. was to manipulate sounds beyond any trace of recognition, often using heavily processed guitar/bass. Creating an environment or atmosphere via sonic texture puts R.Y.N. closer to the avant garde of ambient music. This newest LP for Equation was created during the Summer of 2008 and was built solely from processed field recordings. This has lent a darker, more disturbed edge, to the group's sound... if that was at all possible." Limited edition of 233 numbered copies.

On blue-colored vinyl. "A work of blissful delight. Aidan Baker provides four sides of enchantment in this long-in-the-making 2LP set. Gathering Blue provides new original material plus a stunning cover of the Joy Division track '24 Hours' as well as an extended work-out of the amazing remix of 'The Cicada Sings Our Love Song' by Building Castles Out Of Matchsticks, which was originally released in 2005 on the ultra-limited and long-deleted Arcolepsy Records CD Remixes. This really is Aidan Baker at his very best and a record that is sure to charm. Comes in a gatefold sleeve, numbered card insert and pressed on heavy 180g virgin vinyl."

2005 release. "333 copies only. 21 min long 10" EP pressed on split red-clear vinyl. Over 21 minutes of hard-hitting studio and live tracks that defy simple categorization. As we need to say something here, they are essentially a mix of avant-indie-punk (once they were described as 'proto-plasmicfunsters' -- whatever that means!). The live side delivers 2 blistering tracks: one based around the classic Hawkwind track 'Born To Go' and the other a longer and extraordinary piece, 'Independent Civilian Interrogation & Defense Contractor.' This is an unyielding barrage of effects-laden power that demands repeated listening with a climax built on manic guitar, feedback, looped vocals on a solid, driving bass line. This really is an excellent track. Honest. The A-side has vocal and instrumental versions of 'Squirrel Attack' (1 in each groove). This is classic BunnyBrains 88 with quirky vocals and an edgy riff."
