"BLM releases on home soil on his own FOF label. 'Garage is Back' keeps things silky smooth -- simplicity is the key here, the percussive elements building slowly before the evocative vocal of 'Suz' brings a hypnotic sexiness to the whole affair. 'Step to This' is the logical progression from his last FOF release (Believe In Love) with its skippy beats and uplifting stabs being a sure winner for the coming summer. Mulletover promoter/DJ/all-around sexual dynamo Geddes provides a rather splendid dub remix of 'Garage is Back' on the flip. Cleverly using key elements of the original to keep the flava' but dipping the tempo to give it more of a groove based feel. We think it's a high watermark for the man - check it! Finally -- we have 'Priority Remix' which started life as a straight up remix to our Leif -- Priority EP. Liking it as much as he did, BLM asked Leif if he could take it as his own track and now you lucky people have the chance to listen to the results."

"Think of deep house and it isn't all that often that one casts their attention on Spain, a country more famous for its hedonistic forays into the tougher side of dance music, but all that started to change a few years back when Above Smoke (or Javier to his Mum) and brother Jose aka Dubbyman set up the rather superb Deep Explorer music (label of the month in Resident Advisor). Impressed as we were, we asked Javier to provide a demo for us. Beautiful musical and musically deep, we're really quite chuffed to be able to present these 3 tracks on our very limited vinyl only label. 'The Damned' smoulders with a seductive old piano sample and classic deep house drums. 'Upset' will probably be viewed as the more accessible of the 3, with a punchy kick, but still retains a sense of emotion with beautiful pads. And finally, 'Jazzt Me' rounds things off with it's broken beats and heavy atmospherics." On red-colored vinyl.

"Remix EP action kicking off with ultra hot talent Martinez giving our recent release, Leif's Designed With That In Mind, his supa' teched up house treatment. Einmaleins starlet Chris Lattner is up next, polishing Pawas' 'Mac Dub' into a rolling groove tech houser. And finally, we employed one of our very own to remix, ahem, one of our very own, with Cally giving BLM & Pawas' 'Online' a techno'd up reboot."

"BLM aka Ben Micklewright is co-founder of Fear of Flying, a label that has been gaining momentum and support in all the right places. Pawas delivered the previous release for Fear of Flying, and this is his third for the label. Indian-born and musically bred, he offers an exotic element to the current dancefloor sound. This release is already being supported by Luciano, M.A.N.D.Y., Raresh and Groove Armada, a testament to its wide appeal. The Online EP is a product of the digital age, built through a purely online exchange of the parts, culminating in a package of deep house treats. Featuring the vocals of Lois Winstone (daughter of world-renowned actor Ray Winstone, actor in her own right and singer in various UK cult bands), her voice whispers through 'Down Down,' a track oozing mystique and allure. Made up of three deliciously warm tracks, 'Online,' 'Down Down' and 'Cooper,' the 11th release for Fear of Flying mark it as a label pushing forward quality music and mapping out its own style. As the boundaries of deep house and techno are swinging, eyes are on Fear of Flying as they continue to deliver fresh sounds from talented artists across the globe."

"Welsh wunderkid Leif returns to Fear of Flying after his much played Commonplace EP from last year with another beautifully paced EP of super sweet minimal house music. 'Squally Showers' kicks proceedings off with solid house kicks before dropping into a beautiful, melancholy melody which gives the track its main hook. Dutch good 'uns Polder kindly give 'Squally Showers' a bit of a tech-house dust down, giving it more drive and keeping the groove more constant to ratchet to up to PEAK TIME level. We think you'll be hearing this quite a bit. Flip the script for 'OHNH,' a track Steve Bug says is 'right up my road.' We're talking fine minimal house beats, we're talking warm grooves, we're talking -- well, enough talking, just listen. And finally 'Everywhere I Go I Meet Myself' -- smooth deep beats, wrapped b-lines and some Gregorian chanting -- what else could you need? We may be biased, but we reckon this is Leif's best yet -- suck it and see."
