Phono Ghosts presents his fourth collection of cassette tape memories brought back from the celestial library of ferric dreams. Warm Pad, Sharp Stab sees Phono Ghosts delving deeper into down-tempo territory with a heady concoction of night-swoon mood beats, portentous synth pulsing and DX-driven funk, mixed with drifting mystical atmospherics, '80s TV soundtrack melancholia, cosmic ceremonials, and swirling fretless bass romanticism. Fuzzy analog swells and digital fantasy bells. Warm pads, and sharp stabs.

Cassette version. Phono Ghosts (alias of producer Neil Scrivin, also behind Meatbingo) delivers Photons In Fashion, eight new tracks of intricately spliced tape samples, continuing the psychedelic eclectic sound that marked out his previous releases on Fonolith Solar Dream Reel (FON 102LP, 2018) and Skam. Over its 30 minutes, Photons In Fashion careers between the forceful 1980s digi-funk blast of "Cassential", the space-lounge groove of "Binary Dynamics" and the hypnotic disco of the title track, progressing through to the brooding "Dramakai" and slinky fretless bass of "Observatory Of The Soul", all interspersed with dream-like fragmentary interludes, before closing out with the idiosyncratic synth bleeping of "Hear Me Read My Genetic Chirpy Chip".

Meatbingo returns after a lengthy gap following his 2013 Skam album Trendy Robots (SKASSETTE 003CS, 2013) with a brand-new LP of his trademark precise micro-edited cutup-funk on Fonolith. The Error of My WAVs contains eight fresh tracks of tightly-wound, laser-focused disco chaos. Like a dizzying hit of a future dancefloor drug administered digitally into your avatar's holographic brain. Augmenting his intensive sample-mashing approach with bass guitar playing and scrambled up elements of his own back catalog, WAVs sees producer Neil Scrivin further evolving and expanding the limits of the Meatbingo sound.

Phono Ghosts (alias of producer Neil Scrivin, also behind Meatbingo) returns with his long-awaited second album released via brand new imprint Fonolith. Building upon the cassette-raiding, micro-sampling methodology and varied sound landscape of 2013's Chrome Position on Skam Records, Solar Dream Reel is a journey through summery funk, mangled radio jingles, evocative atmospheres, and anthemic edit-stomp, all filtered via the shimmery analog lens of the compact cassette. A sonic exploration of that borderland between the waking world and sleep -- a place everyone has been to but few remember -- Phono Ghosts comes back to reality with a selection of vivid Polaroids and cassette memories from his visits to the hypnagogic hinterland of the collective unconscious and presents these pure distilled documents for you on four beautiful sides of vinyl. Something may have come back with him...
