Fumakilla presents a strong collabo 12" by the label-boss himself, Woody featuring Felipe Valenzuela and Dani Casarano. "New Follow" is a trippy, Chicagoesque, morphing house track, steadily growing behind the hypnotic voice and the pushing bass figure in darkened acid landscapes. On the flip, Woody proves that he's still on fire with the soulful-dubby-technoid-deep n' funky "Let It Work," guaranteeing waves of excitement on the floors. "Berzuh" is a reduced, dubby tech house gem that claps and grooves all over.

Aboga & Danny Fiddo provide a great, pumping deep house tune and Alejandro Vivanco teaches a lesson on dark, hypnotic techno with huge dancefloor effects.

Ten is the magic number with Berlin imprint Fumakilla. 2010 marks its tenth anniversary, and to celebrate, label owner Woody has compiled ten new, exclusive tracks from the roster, including Livio & Roby, Valenzuela & Casarano, Leix & Ronro, Larsson, Alejandro Vivanco, Danny Fiddo, Autotune, and of course, Woody himself. Over the past ten years, the Fumakilla team has been weaving 1s and 0s into intricate patterns, establishing itself as a source for sexy and pumpin' club tracks with a sophisticated, artful bend (matched by its award-winning record sleeve designs). The dance label has gained a reputation of quality over quantity, with around 40 releases (including sub-label Fumalab) in its decade of existence, allowing creativity to flow at its own pace, striving toward a certain timeless quality. This compilation's ten hand-picked productions serve as a state-of-the-union of Fumakilla's international crew, from mellow grooves to galloping jams, deep and techno-house. But wait, there's more! As you may know, Woody is not just a producer and label owner, but also a distinguished DJ, and for the compilation's second disc, he's mixed an audio excursion of additional tracks from Fumakilla's back catalog. Other artists include: J.Aboga, Felipe Venegas, Jona, Paul Ritch, George G. and The Dose.

Berlin-based Woody recently invited some new blood into his studio: Chilean label mates Felipe Valenzuela and Dani Casarano. The results of their session easily break from formulaic dancefloor cuts: "Woman" will seduce you gently at first, but by the time the groove builds up, she'll have you completely captivated -- a combination of techno energy, house chords and disco string accents. This single-sided 12" includes the original, nearly 10-minute version.

"After his highly respected release on Cadenza, Felipe Venegas joins Leix & Ronro, who have developed a long career at the Spanish circuit and appeared on the latest compilation of Barraca music, to release this three track EP. 'Seito' and 'El cant' circle around hypnotic vocal snippets and are spiked with subtle percussion, which eventually lead to a grooving mixture of their influences: Afro-Latin percussion, polyphonic rhythms and pumping house combined with a minimal structure. 'Chordatta' reminiscence with its slightly techno dub flavor of Maurizio tracks and shines with a deep, warm vibe. Fumakilla´s contribution to survive the cold season."

"Fom the very first second he shows the right direction, 'Swamp' is walking the line between tech house and post-Detroitish sound structures. Warm and hypnotic fragments will be the new deadly weapon in early morning hours for sure, this chord monster demonstrates who is playing in the first league at the moment, it is Jona again, well known for his stunning tunes on labels like Get Physical, Resopal, Toys for Boys and for sure his incredible tune on Fumakilla called 'Tap Stroke' which appealed to everybody. On the flip, another pretty nice piece of music named 'Fields.' This one comes around with a nasty club-friendly formation, nice modulations and a peaktime guaranteed pretty little melody, spherical chords and a splendidly constructed drum work which gets directly to the point again. It seems Jona is the man of the hour, his idea of modern club music offers unequalled opportunities, swamp that thing, baby!"

"Fumakilla venture in international artist directions this time. Up is newcomer Jonathan Troupin aka Jona (upcoming releases on Get Physical Music, etc), who delivers an easy (not lightweight!), clean and highly usable ultra-sturdy clicked out dance floor 2-tracker. 'Operation O' and 'Monjey Money' are both extremely well crafted ventures into pounding crunchy and hi densed fluffy minimal house. A cutting edge techfunk eclectism with high presence which has to be his signature sound by now and the sound system you play this on can just not be big enough. Jona tracks catch you from 'Outside In,' intense storming bleeped out electro house freakiness, with enough variation & stamina for a true dance floor bonanza!!! Jonathan Troupin was born in 1983 in Liège, Belgium. His background is technical (audio engineer since 2000) as well as musical (he has been playing the guitar for 12 years). He's not a 'one lucky shot' producer but always trying to explore new ways of sounding...making emotions talk."
