For Fun Records' fifth release they welcome Mariano Mateljan, the infamous Croatian DJ, producer, and talented electronic music artist. Nibong comes out with four tracks, traced by the analog frizzly details that have been characterizing every Fun Records release. Nibong enters directly to the highest clubbing experience, but it's shaped as only Mateljan could make it. It will be difficult to listen to "Thetea" without letting yourself go and stop thinking for a while: subtle feelings rise as the dreamy and slightly broken melody develops. "Lotus" may be the most ethereal, leaving you feeling as sensitive as a sunset.

Stripped-back, acid-washed opener "Alcohpott" blends melodic lines with a funky drum pattern; its snapping beats, disorienting swing, and digital deviance make for a surefire crowd-pleaser. With its bouncing sub bass and heavily processed analog drum beats, "Los Confites" mixes snapping 4x4 house aesthetics with minimal techno groove. "Mivi" couples a steady, mid-tempo beat with a tuneful harmonic melody while slightly off-beat top-line hooks create added swing in its dynamic approach to the dancefloor.

140-gram vinyl. Globally recognized and respected DJ and producer Barem pairs up with producer and live specialist Alexis Cabrera to launch Fun Records. Barem is known for numerous releases on M_nus; Cabrera has production credits on labels like Mindshake, Raum...musik, and Time Has Changed. Here, they evolve away from minimalism to focus on fun techno funk. "Turn on the Fun" features slithering synth lines, a nimble and inviting baseline, and plenty of warming emotion. "Funcy" is more rubbery and direct, with clacking perc, freewheeling synth lines, and bubbly, roaming drums. "Funatics" has a somber, minor-chord bassline alongside crisp, clean hi-hats.
