Based now in Islamabad and Rome, Arturo Lanz and Saverio Evangelista have not stopped their live performances all over the world in the last years with great success. Born in 1980 as a trio, and currently a duo formed by Arturo Lanz (founding member) and Saverio Evangelista (member since 1991), Esplendor Geométrico is an influential and international electronic cult band and also a rare case in the Spanish music scene, as they have developed their own independent path aside from tags, fashion or trends, in spite of being often classified as industrial music. Their career during this four decades hasn't had interruptions. They haven't stopped composing, releasing albums, or playing live (with more intensity since the nineties), and they have continued for the simple pleasure of making music. Esplendor Geométrico has achieved a personal and distinct style that can be appreciated from their '80s albums, when they used analog synthesizers and primitive electronic percussion, to the present time with new digital tools. Their influence has marked many later artists, usually classified in the so-called industrial music or rhythm and noise, as well as artists from current techno and certain types of experimental noise music.

Javier Hernando's musical journey began in 1979 with his first band, Xeerox. In 1981, he embarked on his first fully electronic project, Melodinamika Sensor, which continued until 1985. During that year, three tracks by M.S. were featured on a compilation LP titled Grupos de Barcelona, released by Discos Esplendor Geométrico. This compilation showcased four bands from the thriving Barcelona underground scene. From 1985 to the early nineties, Hernando co-directed the cassette label Ortega y Cassette, while also hosting Los Silencios de la Radio on Radio PICA. This radio program was dedicated to showcasing electronic and experimental music. In the nineties, he released new works in cassette format, including two albums on Toracic Tapes, and later published the CD Luz Nacarina through Geometrik Records. Subsequent releases took listeners on a journey through post-industrial landscapes, interspersed with moments of serene tranquility. These releases gained notable recognition from Geometrik, as well as other respected labels such as Alku, con-v, Nostalgie de la Boue, Anòmia, Novak, and República Ibérica Ruidista. More recent works have revealed a shift towards harmonious compositions, evident in albums like Jardín Náufrago released on La Olla Express. Hernando has also explored poetic atmospheres in collaborations such as the CD-book El Archipiélago Sideral with artist Juan Miguel Muñoz, and Vacuola, his latest release on WD Records, in collaboration with Ángel Lalinde. Currently, Hernando's artistic trajectory is at its most vibrant and creative state. The highly anticipated album Dómina Esteléctrica is set to be followed by a new composition that transcends the hermeticism of painter José Manuel de Yngunza, as well as a collaborative work with Krishna Goineau (Liaisons Dangereuses, Velodrome). These upcoming projects promise to further expand Hernando's artistic horizons and captivate audiences with his innovative approach to music.

Kosmos Kino is the third album of the influential Spanish industrial cult band Esplendor Geométrico. Recorded and originally published in 1988 and unavailable on vinyl for many years, now available again in its original format. Remastered in 2023, this release reproduces the original cover but with a different exclusive artwork on the back cover. After a start in which the line of acute distortions and buzzy basses of their previous albums continues, it follows a surprising rhythmic visceral nature, reaching its peak in the track "Trybuna Robotnicza", suitable for the most frantic dance and one of the greatest moments in their vast discography.

At first sight, Pulsión is pure industrial hypnosis based on the electronic manipulation of sounds together with irresistible rhythms, repetitive, machine-like, industrial, hypnotic, sometimes tribal, sometimes danceable, that mix up with voices and chants. Some of them are taken from traditional Arab and oriental music (Mongolia, China, Tibet...) to be later electronically manipulated, others are simply speech fragments, as the one of a leader of a radical political party in Japan, Che Guevara, or an anti-occidental harangue from an Islamist leader. But the idea of EG is not to transmit any political or ideological message, the sources have been chosen for their strength and sonority. Mekano-Turbo is the fourth album and a classic inside the discography of legendary and influential Spanish industrial cult band Esplendor Geométrico, originally released in 1988. Now available again in its original format, remastered in 2022, and unavailable on vinyl for more than 11 years. Finally, the fury is unleashed in all its splendor. The superb three initial tracks are pure rhythmic adrenaline on which is supported the totally runaway voice of Arturo Lanz. "Rotor" would be even considered as a not intentioned approximation to the electronic body music. In the same wave are also located "Belew" and "Mekano-Turbo". On the other hand, it seems to be that the residence of Gabriel in Melilla (North Africa) and the consequent proximity of the Arabic culture it influences on some tracks ("Sheikh", "Transmisión"). Reissue, originally released in 1981. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of EG-1, a seminal work by the influential industrial music pioneers. A classic and essential release of Esplendor Geométrico. After their first single, "Necrosis En La Poya" (1981), Esplendor Geométrico released their first cassette that same year: EG-1. These works were self-produced and distributed by the band themselves, before the appearance of the Spanish independent record labels in the early '80s. The first edition of EG-1 (edition of 300 copies) quickly sold out in the international underground circuit of cassette labels that was emerging during those years. It was reissued on the same format by different labels such as Datenverarbeitung (Germany, 1982), Ortega y Cassette (Barcelona, 1985), EGK (Madrid, 1987) and Línea Alternativa (Madrid, 1989), and later on there would be two CD editions. Without a doubt, EG-1 is one of the fundamental works by Esplendor Geométrico, and is also considered a classic of industrial music, where they started to develop their unique style of rhythmic-noisy-industrial which would be such a great influence on other artists afterwards. Tracks like "Muerte A Escala Industrial", "Destrozaron Sus Ovaries" and "Neuridrina" are regarded by their fans as some of the best recorded by the band. Live in Utrecht is considered a masterpiece of Esplendor Geométrico, the cult pioneers of industrial rhythms, and the best example of the energy of EG's live performances in the eighties. Recorded November 25th, 1989 in the Cultural Centre EKKO, Utrecht Holland, with a superb sound quality. Produced for the program De Bovenbouw/Nos-Radio, Hilversum, Holland. First released by Discos E.G. in 1990 and sold out on vinyl for 30 years. Except "Signos de energía" (a faster version than the one in Mekano Turbo album), the rest of the tracks were completely new at the moment this wonderful record was released. A special edition that comes, additionally, with an extra LP with seven tracks from the late '80s that were originally released on cassette: four tracks are from 1987, the other three are from the studio sessions of Mekano Turbo (1988) but not included on that album. A cult band and pioneers of industrial music, Esplendor Geométrico were one of the first cases of true independence in the history of Spanish music. Not only financial and organizational, but also creative independence. This first single, "Necrosis En La Poya" (1981), was self-produced and distributed by the band themselves, before the appearance of the Spanish independent record labels in the early '80s. After receiving the needed funds from an enigmatic fan who decided to help out the release, a tiny run of 500 copies was pressed and quickly flew off the shelves. The iconic yet disturbing cover artwork surely shocked the regular clients at the few Madrid shops that were willing to stock the release but thankfully also managed to catch the attention of the emerging European scene of DIY experimental sounds and most of the copies found their way into the network of independent distributors. Without a doubt this is one of the fundamental works by Esplendor Geométrico, where they started to develop their unique style of industrial music which would be such a great influence on other artists afterwards. Necrosis En La Poya is regarded by their fans as one of the best records ever made by the band and shows EG's shift towards harsher industrial rhythms. New album from Nad Spiro in a special vinyl edition co-released by Geometrik and Munster Records. In her new sonic fiction, Rosa Arruti, aka Nad Spiro, reveals an unusual dimension of her work, using just one guitar and four pedals on her sonic explorations through the lost quarries of Montjuïc, the legendary mountain of Barcelona. Armed just with her guitar, Spiro activates subterranean echoes, spectral loops, and secret vibrations on an initiation trip through invisible labyrinths. Orfeon Gagarin is the Miguel A. Ruiz's main project, a veteran electronic musician from Madrid (Spain). Ruiz's music has been the best-kept secret of Spanish underground electronics since the early '80s until now, although he's not as well known internationally as other contemporary musicians (Esplendor Geométrico, Francisco López, or Diseño Corbusier, to name but a few). In 1986 he released his first cassette on his own (now legendary) Toracic Tapes label. Since then he has remained active at the international network of independent electronic music and has collaborated with musicians from different countries such as Cisfinitum (Codachrom), Siegmar Fricke (Efficient Refineries), Dieter Mauson, Francisco López, Stefano Barban, etc. Ruiz has composed many solo albums in all formats, especially on cassette, using several aliases: Funeral Souvenir, Exhaustor, Michel Des Airlines, Ventral Metaphor, apart from Orfeon Gagarin. His first vinyl LP was Encuentros En La Tercera Edad (1991) produced by the German electronics master Asmus Tietchens on his label Hamburger Musikgesellschaft. In addition, he has published with other respected international labels like Discos Esplendor Geométrico, Old Europa Café, Aquarelist, Monochrome Vision, Menstrual Recordings, etc. Fascinated by the sonic possibilities of analog and digital synthesizers and other studio techniques, Ruiz's style is fantastic and surprising, with an imagination that can be considered as overwhelming. Science, technology, Soviet space race, Borges, surrealism, clinical pathologies, black humor, or extra-planetary life -- whatever eccentricity has a place within the microcosm of this artist. He has a wide range of musical references: post-industrial music from the eighties recorded in home studios, German cosmic music from the '70s, pioneers of electro-acoustic music, Japanese techno pop, old and strange film soundtracks, retro-futurism, mutant pop, ambient, etc. At present, Ruiz is experiencing one of the most active and best creative moments, performing more than ever and being discovered by a new generation of young Spanish electronic musicians who look for his works and admire him. Voces A 45 is his latest album, a vinyl LP with nine tracks recorded in 2018 at his own Toracic Studio. "In 1995 Justo Bagüeste released a record called I.P.D.; it claimed to induce in the listener a pleasant dream, heading for the final sprint towards that collective promise beyond the end of the millennium. I.P.D. was some sort of Goldberg Variations for the turn of the century, played on mini-Moogs, short-wave radios and analog synths. In 2016, Bagüeste and Suso Saiz (producer of I.P.D.) performed at Periferias Festival in Huesca; they were to play a reinterpretation of the recording they had made twenty years before. However, Bagüeste and Saiz didn't appear nostalgic nor revisionist: just a certain atmosphere and a few samples linked the concert to the 1995 recording. Firmly stuck in that moment, they offered a session of sonic haze based on dialog and improvisation -- the 40 minutes of music presented here stem from that haze. Like a vitalist statement, a heartbeat and a human voice open the first track, "Nóstos". One is then plunged into a boundless sea of textures and synthetic serpentines entitled "Margen de Indefinición" (Margin of Vagueness). Soon, some rhythmic turbulence shows up, evoking a dream of "Despertar" (Awakening) between faraway saxophones, glided guitars, reminiscences of Popol Vuh and Tangerine Dream. The final stretch starts in tension, mired in an inner conflict "Cerca de Algún Lugar" (Close To Somewhere). After a shamanic-like voice, the session leads to a backwater of spacious ambient music with stitches of sax and guitar, describing a transcendental "Implosión" (Implosion) ended with unrepentant heartbeats again. This is the second part of Selected Tracks, the first one was published in 2015 (GR 2136LP). Ten of the thirteen tracks appear for the first time on vinyl, and some rarities only released in very limited CDR editions during the '90s and without distribution, are also included. Esplendor Geométrico are pioneers and masters of rhythmic industrial music since their formation in Madrid in 1980, enjoying international cult. In this double album, you will find machine and hypnotic rhythms, metallic sounds, tribal sonorities, distortion, collages with voices, which also show their influence on the current trends of industrial techno. During the eighties, in Spain, tons of electronic music cassettes appeared, often unipersonal, where the artist himself became the editor and distributor of his works. It was DIY at its purest. The appearance of the multitrack recorder and cassette duplicators helped the emergence of this soon international underground movement. The first cassettes published in Spain, framed within the electronic music, came from pioneers such as Esplendor Geométrico, La Otra Cara De Un Jardín, and el Internado (the first project of fame Francisco López). Shortly after, artists and labels appeared throughout the Spanish geography, such as Ortega y Cassette and Laboratorio de Música Desconocida, both in Barcelona, Auxilio de Cientos (Granada), Consumo del Miedo (Jaén), Necronomicón (Puertollano), STI (Zaragoza), and others. The underground electronic scene in Madrid during the eighties was agglutinated largely around cassette seals such as Toracic Tapes (directed by Miguel A. Ruiz), I.E.P. (founded by musician Luis Mesa), Proceso Uvegraf (Juan Teruel), and EGK (the sublabel for cassettes of Discos Esplendor Geométrico). Cronica Técnica is a compilation of themes from this scene recorded between 1981 and 1991, most of which were originally published on cassette, and which focused mainly on industrial, noise, and experimental music. Followers of the industrial music and the experimental underground of the seventies and eighties (Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, Esplendor Geométrico, Maurizio Bianchi, SPK, Asmus Tietchens, etc.) will appreciate and be surprised with this selection for its quality, especially thinking that this music has been kept hidden since then. The selection was made by Andrés Noarbe, manager and editor of Esplendor Geométrico since its founding in 1980 and director of the pioneer label in publishing electronic music in Spain: Discos E.G. (now Geometrik Records). He lived this movement of cassette labels in Spain in the first row from the beginning, and met most of its protagonists. Cronica Técnica is edited by Geometrik Records in collaboration with Munster Records, and is the second volume of the Spanish Underground Cassette Movement series after the first one: Fungus Cerebri (GR 2139LP, 2016), dedicated entirely to Esplendor Geométrico. Esplendor Geometrico, the cult band based in Madrid and Rome, influential industrial pioneers of pulsating, hypnotic and tribal rhythms since 1980, present their new album: Fluida Mekaniko. Since their previous album Ultraphoon (GR 2130 CD/LP, 2013), Esplendor Geométrico have performed more frequently than ever and in different countries and festivals (2016 marked their first time in the US and Russia). Meanwhile, a documentary feature film about the group launched in Madrid, Geometría del Esplendor, directed by a renowned Spanish director within the avant-garde cinema, José Ramón da Cruz. The film has just been premiered at the prestigious In-Edit festival in Barcelona, receiving an honorary award. Fluida Mekaniko was recorded during 2016 and contains 12 new tracks that, although they continue the line developed since Pulsión (2009), reference their most harsh and noisy sound of the '90s. Industrial neo-tribalism, where mechanical rhythms hypnotize, like mantras, inducing a trance - it highlights, already a distinctive feature of Esplendor Geometrico, the inclusion of voices and sonorities of African, Arab, and Asian music.

Fungus Cerebri: Selected Tracks From Cassettes 1981-1989 includes a selection of tracks by Esplendor Geométrico, originally released on cassette and recorded between 1981-1989. They have been remastered from the original tapes for this edition. The 16 tracks are taken from Sinn & Form cassette compilation (Daterverarbeitungm, 1982), En Directo Madrid Y Tolosa (EGK, 1987), Esplendor Geométrico En Roma (EGK, 1986), Madrid Mayo 89 (Línea Alternativa, 1990), and Diez Años De Esplendor (Línea Alternativa, 1991). The '80s are a period particularly appreciated by the followers of this cult band, pioneers of the more rhythmic strain of industrial music. Minimalism, raw and harsh analog electronica, distortion, Arabic sounds, shortwave radio recordings are all typical elements of their style during this first period of Esplendor Geométrico, when they achieved a sound ahead of its time and is still imitated nowadays. Esplendor Geométrico were always very present within the '80s international scene of underground cassette labels. This double LP is the first one of a series dedicated to this movement in Spain, still fairly unknown despite its activity at the time, with dozens of labels operating from different cities. Dekatron is a duo formed in 2013 by Ivan Sentionaut, who has just released his first solo LP on Sincronica, and Miguel A Ruiz, a pioneer of Spanish underground electronic music since the early '80s who has worked under countless aliases through his cassette label Toracic Tapes, such as his legendary project Orfeón Gagarin, praised by Asmus Tietchens and disco's Esplendor Geométrico. The duo's first album, Dekatron II (2014) (GR 2133LP), received excellent reviews which regarded the duo as the new sensation in cosmic electronic music. Dekatron are inspired by the beginning of computing, the first IT systems and the deep cosmos. They explore the possibilities of the sounds of the new electronic age, using a wide array of digital and analog synthesizers, sound generators and rhythm machines. Dekatron III is the awaited continuation: an LP where their style range within electronic music widens, and includes more topics. There are echoes of Japanese techno pop, cosmic disco and extraterrestrial ambient music. It's a richer album, more varied and mature than their debut, and without a doubt a future classic of Spanish electronic music. As with the previous record, the wonderful sleeve has been designed by Alonso Urbanos, from an original oil painting by Adamo Dimitriadis. Science and retro-futurism in harmony.

The band formed in Madrid in 1980 and went on to become an international cult act and one of the most influential pioneers of industrial music. This set contains four LPs packaged inside a special deluxe box and individually screenprinted using a metallic copper ink. The four covers, when put together, make up a main image. The box set also includes a poster. The LPs feature a selection of tracks recorded between 1992 and 1998, a period during which the EG sound evolved thanks to the digital synthesizers available at the time. The group developed a singular style of industrial music that incorporates techno-esque elements, hypnotic rhythms, and tribal influences. The tracks were originally released only on the CDs Control Remoto 1.0 (1992), Veritatis Splendor (1994), Balearic Rhythms (1996), Tokyo sin fin (1996, Japan-only), and Treinta Kilómetros de Radio (1996). Now they see the light on vinyl for the first time, carefully remastered for this release by Alek Stark, with improved sound quality. Included are some of the best tracks recorded by Esplendor Geométrico throughout their career; classic titles such as "América," "Al-Giabr," "El empuje del Desarrollo Técnico," and "30 Km de Radio."
