"Slaughter Mob are back and so are Halo Beats, Slaughter's affiliated producer Gargamel drops his first release on the label, 'Switchboard.' Two tracks of deep, grimey and ultimately sinister dubstep. Support from Skream, Distance, Mary Anne Hobbs and more."

"The 7th release coming from the Halo camp. Toasty Boy has come through with two definite skankers! A Side: 'On Something.' Starts with a harmonious yet eerie intro that drops straight into a rollers bassline complimented by reverbed, dubby snares followed by a catchy electro-synth melody that carries you into a sample in the break that probably a lot of ravers can relate to.... ha!! The break is uplifting and glides you nicely into a dreamy outro. AA Side: 'You're Special.' Comes with a dark, thunderous, congo natty intro that dips and then BANG! Your hit with cut-throat subs and an electric melody that will shock the system! Drums and percussion scatter nicely over the bass melody. The break starts off musical and soulful followed by the use of well know sample that has been stretched and manipulated to make what becomes an infectious outro that contrasts the first part of the tune."

"At the forefront of the dubstep underground is Halo Beats, the label operated by the seminal and subversive Slaughter Mob; underground garage mainstays and dubstep scene stalwarts. With its fifth release, Halo Beats have firmly established themselves as leaders of the UK underground cutting edge. On this release, North London-based producer Elemental brings two stone-cold killers to the table. 'Desert Storm' sees Elemental toying with off kilter electronics and dabbling with almost psychedelic stabs and babbling basslines. Sonically the track nods to Elemental's DNB roots while simultaneously being totally different than that, as well as the current crop of dubstep output. The track builds and breaks in a delicate frenzy of self-contained progression, sure to engage dancefloors and home listeners alike."

"Slaughter Mob return flexing their MC's vocal talents on this collaboration with long time dubstep pioneer and Hospital Recordings resident: Landslide. 'Splurt' is a breath of fresh air, vocally and musically. A dirty, melodic track overlayed with tales of street survival and late night shenanigans, laced with synth leads and arps over a bumpy, subby groove. Meanwhile, the flip gets the Skream treatment, halfstep beats and intricate hats served up over Skream's trademark deep rolling subs. Both tracks have had worldwide recognition and support, having been dropped by the likes of DJ Hatcha, Skream, Search and Destroy, N-Type, Mary Anne Hobbs and many more."
