The ninth installment on House Is OK comes from Homeboy who brings four fresh joints to the table. Live drum sampling, loose synth riffs and other more personal notes can be heard across the entire release. For "Decisions Ricochet", Homeboy teamed up with the Croatian blues man Bebe Na Vole who takes this record into unexplored territories for the label. These four tracks weren't necessarily designed to move bodies on the dance floor, but they show his abilities to simply write great music. It's house not house, post-disco, jazz, and acid synth hippie music all at the same time.

House Of Life is a project of Chaveli Sifre Riestra & Nikias Chryssos. They make songs about men who dance with no pants. Their lyrics are channeled through occult rites, internet forums, computer codes, and therapy sessions. "Hans With No Pants" tells the story of a guy who likes to party with kids, eat cake and serve cool drinks. On the flip, a number from DGF, a project of Nikias & Janis. "Greif Meine Hand" was originally written for the original soundtrack of Nikas' short film The Grandfather.

House Is OK co-owner Marko Pelaic aka Homeboy steps away from traditional house music to explore more experimental, modern sounds. "Kaprije" shines with a joyful piano hook challenged by heavy synth noise and cosmic weirdness. Inspired by a memorable day spent on the island of Kaprije in the Adriatic Sea, this is an uplifting hit for any serious collector. "The Simple Things in Life" is a warm, melancholic, mid-tempo swinger that transforms into beautiful absurdity, while "Somewhere a Band Is Playing" closes with a spacey, jazzy feel. No-nonsense house for anyone bored with 909 hi-hats and rolling snare drums.

House Is OK is proud to announce the label debut from young Greek god Christos Mavridis aka Eddoh. Two originals and a remix by label boss Oliver Achatz, who teamed up with keyboarder Daniel Nentwig aka D'Lonely Al, will bring purely good vibes to dancefloors. "This Summer" praises the lovely rainy days of summertime and will get your feet working instantly, while your head bangs "grooveliciously." "Love Echoes" adds that extra ingredient to your "househead" DJ sets. Oli takes "This Summer" over to his sunny side of the street. A steady rhythm leads to his dreamy signature sound, spiced up with some special synth action by Daniel.

Janis makes music for high-budget commercials and German art films, and also spends his time constructing highly-infectious house grooves. On the Parental Advisory House EP Janis gets to demonstrate his wide range of talents. Driven by a heavy bass line and filled with a funky chord sequence, the lead track will easily be implanted in your brain. "Fitzefu Pumpkin" breaks the groove in a massive two-step pumper. "Ensoniq Youth" features a strong rhythm section, dreamy synth pads and funny vocal chops. The EP closes with a remix by Kornél Kovacs, who takes the elements of the funky original and turns it into a driving dub.

The third and last part of the We Make Music series has finally arrived and Janis, Oliver Achatz, and Homeboy deliver the perfect soundtrack for the summer, accompanied by a new friend, East Coast disco honcho Sleazy McQueen, assigned for remix duties. "Hula Hoop" is a lot of things: it's disco, it's house, and it's as happy as Croatian dance music specialist can get. "Movin' Up" features a stomping house beat while "Express" chugs like a locomotive with a funky bass line.

House Is OK raises the roof with the We Make Music Vol. 1 release. Janis' track is a reminder of the early Frankfurt house sound and Homeboy's track is based on the elements of classic house, with a jazzy synth riff that locks to a hypnotic 7/4 groove. Oliver Achatz proves that house music can work with a very sensual touch and The Citizen's Band, one-half of Arto Mwambe, remixes Janis' "Mind Made Up," making it a club banger for the heads.
