Cafe Lanai is the duo of Michael Brock and Forever (June Moon). Originating with the absorption of tropical sounds and antiquated island imagery, the project made a "sweet, sweet double espresso debut" with their deep first single "Lanai." On their debut Paradise EP, Cafe Lanai enlists the spirit of humid rainforests and black sand beaches, imploring you to close your eyes and throw your body to the beat. Infused with interweaving vocals, sultry lyrics, sweaty synths and rhythms for house heads and disco souls.

Double LP version; includes bonus track "And He Goes." Vancouver's indie-electronic duo Humans present their highly anticipated album Noontide, following up 2013's acclaimed EP Traps (HYB 001EP). Robbie Slade and Peter Ricq's sound has been called infectious, smartly crafted, and an absolute force in a live setting. Produced by Nik Kozub (Shout Out Out Out Out), Noontide is a showcase of Humans' innovative mix of heavy electronics with modern pop sensibilities. The album is carefully constructed, building upon the band's restless aesthetic experimentation.

Project Pablo's latest offering features three tracks of raw, heavily-swung, funky, playful house. Utensils is aimed straight at the dancefloor. On top of dark, gritty, rolling grooves, Pablo layers frenetic vocal snippets, cheeky, jazzy chord-stabs, and warm, resonant synth melodies. The release is "tape-saturated, swung-out house music; hints of the old and new." Project Pablo is the latest moniker of Patrick Holland (formerly 8prn) and his own productions are diverse, moving between a more experimental/ambient sound to classic Chicago house.

Double LP version. The name Sabota comes from the infamous area in Nelson BC, where kids congregate late at night to smoke weed, hook up and watch the sun come up. Both Max Ulis and Robbie Slade (of Humans) both have (if somewhat indirect) roots in the area, making it a fitting concept for their collaboration. This is a brand-new collaboration between two very talented and separately quite successful artists. Robbie Slade, is one-half of Humans, and Max Ulis has been a lynch pin in the West Coast electronic music scene for over a decade. After establishing themselves as prolific artists on other projects, with Sabota, their individual sounds (which range from techno, bass, and house to vocal heavy pop music) are synthesized in a highly nuanced and beautiful way. Featuring a contribution from Charlie Damara and a remix by Grenier.

Humans are an electronic music duo based in East Vancouver, BC. In 2011 they played Glasslands Gallery in NYC and festivals such as, SXSW NXNW, WEMF, the New Forms Festival and Big Time Out. Humans' latest EP emerges with obvious maturation, each track carrying a depth of sound, evolved production, and focused vision, while never straying from their early commitment to make music for the dancefloor. Includes remixes from Max Ulis and Nautiluss.
