SONG 016LP

"War entails suffering and sadness of loss due to unexplainable brutality and relentless meaningless onslaught. War entails bonding with brothers and sisters to fend off atrocious aggression. War entails the act of putting violence against violence, tracking down the violators, and stopping them with death as a means of last resort. These songs are there to support Ukrainians in all aspects of the war, hoping that the will mend wounds, grant courage and determination to take lives." --Mads Lindgren/Monolog.
Music written and produced by Monolog. Field recordings in track "Forgotten Circle 10" by Andrii Nidzelskyi. Mastering and lacquer cut by Noel Summerville. Design by Zavoloka. Cover artwork and release production by Dmytro Fedorenko.

SONG 020CD
|
In the realm of sonic exploration and artistic activism, the collaborative project between Danish artist Monolog (Mads Lindgren) and Ukrainian creative entity Variát (Dmytro Fedorenko) transcends conventional music boundaries. Drawing inspiration from a diverse musical palette and various art forms, the duo embarks on a sonic journey that fuses elements of experimental electronic music, heavy metal, and drum and bass. The name The Well For The Thirsty comes as an artistic reference to an old metaphoric Ukrainian movie filmed in 1965. Back then the movie was immediately censored and forbidden to be shown right after it was made, and it came out to the public only in 1987. The film's director Yurii Illenko was one of the creators of the Ukrainian Poetic Cinema movement that provoked a massive wave of repressions against Ukrainian cinema and its authors, and this movement became one of the strongest statements of artistic resistance in Ukraine. Surrealist and psychedelic ethnographic Ukrainian art films would be considered as a major threat to the nationality policies of the soviets.

SONG 007LP
|
Ability for the impossible. Ukrainian folk instruments dissolve into abstract psychoactive sounds from the improvisational universe. The meditative engine of multi-instrumental music drives the magical means of influencing perception. This is the sonic amulet, which is decorated with radiant tones and the colorful ceremonial musical outline. Mythological music is spirited by epic historical times and ideas of freedom, dignity, and bravery. The acquired knowledge of ancient generations is infused into the present tense and crystallized into the art of liberation. Transform pain into gratitude, fear into love, rage into action, self-importance into empathy, fatigue into inner peace, anxiety into courage, and hatred into strength. Say "no" to darkness and direct the light on it, disagree to compromise with yourself, create on the destroyed, free yourself from stipulations, believe in wonders, burn and resurrect free. Always remember your own path to walk. And plant the blossoming cherry tree in the funnel from the bomb on the heart. Dedicated to free Ukraine. Music composed and produced by Kateryna Zavoloka. Mastered and lacquer cut by Noel Summerville. Artworks and design by Zavoloka. 180 gram vinyl.

Music by Ilpo Väisänen, founding member of Pan Sonic. Mastering by Noel Summerville. Artwork by Dmytro Fedorenko. Design by Zavoloka. Release produced by Dmytro Fedorenko. 180 gram black vinyl. 45rpm. "Still against this invasion. Summer is at its best, but for some, it's not that. Russia continues its brutal war in Ukraine, bombing civilian targets, killing civilians, and deliberately destroying cities and villages. The war goes on, and Russia's tactic is to prolong it so that the West at some stage will forget the whole thing. Putin is using energy and food as a weapon, hoping to destroy our unity. I want to point out that there is a genocide currently happening in Europe. Damn it, it's here now. Don't forget!" --Ilpo Väisänen

Sold out; double LP version. Chechnya Over Dub was originally released by Staalplaat as a part of Fatah Guerrilla in 1996. Written, played, and recorded by Muslimgauze. Release produced by Dmytro Fedorenko. Design by Zavoloka. "There is not a single misanthropic ideology in the World, even in theory, acting more cruelly and cynically than russism ... No moral principles -- they are all like animals. I don't want this war to stop. I need this war, its continuation. This war will go to the territory of Russia -- whether Russia wants it or not ... And the Western countries, the world community will not let it be stopped in order to completely isolate Russia and destroy it as a state, so that this predatory beast on Earth no longer exists." --Dzhokhar Dudayev, the president of free Chechnya. April 1995. On the front cover, there is a "Coat of Arms" of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria during the First Chechen War for Independence.
