"The fifth release on the L.A. based ICAN is a reunion between Santiago Salazar and Esteban Adame and their partners in Los Hermanos and Underground Resistance; Gerald Mitchell and Dan 'Dex' Caballero. Underground Resistance's DJ Dex aka Nomadico partners up with Esteban Adame as El Coyote for 'Esfuerzando.' The song sets the mood with rising synth chords, a subtle acid line, live percussion and a heavy bassline. A thick layered set of strings then lifts the listener to emotional heights of unyielding determination that reflect both the title and these artists' personal history. UR veteran and Los Hermanos leader Gerald Mitchell contributes a slow building, dancefloor burner with 'Los Sunshine.' Gerald hypnotizes the listener as he adds layers of swinging hi-hats and soulful electronic accents. Ican then bring it home with 'Make It Hot' and don't hold anything back. The track's drums and percussion are rooted in the classic house music traditions of Chicago and New York, while the keyboard and electronic sequences are equal parts Detroit techno and east L.A. funk."

"Santiago Salazar has a stellar track record stemming from his work with Los Hermanos and UR. He and Esteban Adame have carved a niche in the techno landscape by liberally drawing from their Latino background on their releases on Planet E and their own Ican Productions. This release truly has a global sound. 'Caminos del Niño' features vocals from Cuba and percussion from Columbia courtesy of Gonzalo Chomat, Iris Sandra Cepeda and Alberto Lopez (percussion). The moody 'Oscuro' remix is from Holland, courtesy of dubstep/techno wizard, Martyn and the deep techno remix is from Orlando Voorn. Then check out the bangin' B-side track from Santiago Salazar's 'Sucio Beat Series.' The song was mixed and edited in Los Angeles and Brooklyn, NYC courtesy of guest engineer, Dan 'DJ Dex' Caballero."
