November 2007, Venice. It was cold, damp, and foggy. Nurse with Wound played two nights at the Teatro Fondamenta Nuove, with Blind Cave Salamander as the supporting act. Listening to Blind Cave Salamander perform, Steven Stapleton felt that some of what they played reminded him of the classic Nurse work Soliloquy for Lilith (1988). He suggested that the two bands explore the possibility of playing live together, to explore that piece, with a view to recording an album. In September 2009, after rehearsals, Nurse with Wound (Steven Stapleton and Colin Potter) and Blind Cave Salamander (Fabrizio Palumbo, Julia Kent, and Paul Beauchamp) performed their live version of Soliloquy for the first time at the Mutamento Festival in Turin. The audience responded with great enthusiasm. The show was recorded and released as an LP in 2012. The ensemble went on to play a number of other live shows and the music changed and mutated each time. This two-CD set contains the recording from the 2012 LP plus a recording of a 2011 performance in Lisbon. Six-panel digipak.

"Husk is the first product of an ongoing collaboration between Jonathan Coleclough and Murmer (US born composer Patrick McGinley). They first met in 2002 after appearing on the compilation LP Chaleur, and soon began work on the material that would become Husk. Sharing a fascination with using found sound in their music, Husk includes recordings of refrigerators, thunderstorms, sheep, car horns, ferryboats, windblown sand, crackling charcoal, as well as more conventional instrumental sounds including a variety of percussion instruments. Much of the music started as live improvisation, in one case during a radio broadcast on McGinley's regular Framework slot on the London-based radio-art station Resonance FM. These live recordings have been carefully edited and mixed over several years."

"This CD features collaborations between Colin Potter (Nurse With Wound, Monos) and Paul Bradley (who's first album, Twenty Hertz was recently released by ICR to much acclaim). The four tracks cover a variety of atmospheres over sixty-eight minutes. Natural and synthetic sounds are processed, manipulated and re-arranged, to arrive at a very different place from where they started."

"The latest (May 2002) release from ICR is a CD by Potter (Nurse With Wound) & Jonathan Coleclough (solo albums Windlass, Cake, Period, Minya &, With Andrew Chalk, Sumac). The 74 minute album contains 2 solo & 3 duo tracks. Potter's 'Sinister Dexter' is a long electronic piece that increases in density before morphing into a peculiar procession of mysterious travellers. Coleclough's 'Tunnel' is constructed entirely from field recordings processed to sound like huge droning gongs or horns to accompany a journey along a dark underground canal. The third track is a live recording by the duo, which is perfectly described by It's title, 'Shudder'. The two remaining tracks, 'Beech Flutter' & 'Beech Shadow' are also duo pieces, with each partner providing a mix, both offering a completely different perspective. The sounds of the forest joins with a metallic string section. Peace reigns supreme."
