"Leonel Castillo is one of the most outstanding Argentinian artists these days. Last winter he released an amazing debut EP on our sister label, Hometown Music and now we're proud to present the remixes of that EP on Ilian Tape. Lee Van Dowski and Agnes were so excited about these cuts that they did two amazing remixes. Blast off!"

"Maria Fresca is a project by Franco Cinelli and Dario Zenker, which is based on a true live musical experience. Since they met the first time and smoked a couple of blunts, they've thought about working something out together. And here is the result. Spaced, dubbed out kickless journeys through their musical universes, like Timothy Leary's housekeeping woman from the French Alps on rollerblades. A1. 'Womafledtuna' -- where is the kick? The bass drum? Well, if it doesn't show up, don't wait for it, because there won't come any. Dance music without bass drum seems useless to you? If you think so, just listen to that cut really carefully and you won't even recognize that there isn't one. The rhythm is the main theme here. Dubbed hidden sounds under the structure, small Jamaican B-boys telling some of their Kingston pub lyrics about the Agent Orange weed-destroying era by the U.S. in the late '70s, and finally tons of hi-hats and percussion elements send you through waterfalls."

"Ralph Sliwinski is already known from his releases on labels like Below, Morris Audio or Hartchef Discos and surely for a good reason. He is one of the producers who have their own unique style which is recognizable directly. Analog old school sounding beats fat as the women of the U.S. McDonalds promotion campaign. 'Dercole Leven': groove, Afro-American vibes and a piece of Haribo Saure Lüngerl are building that tune, as well as rhythm structures out of a fruit market in Oslo, phantom hi-hats and shaking ballerina feet. 'Lockheed': if you like dub... do you like dub techno as well? We hope so, because this cut even dubs out Beeny Man while he is cutting his toe nails. A bass line sounds like it is played live by Ismilia Iiliiah at the Kingstons K2 conference, percussions fresh out of Mr. Sliwinski's beat-box machine hook up with that incredible Detroit chord Orchestra and deliver us a journey through Jamaican forests."

"Lee Van Dowski, the mastermind of the incredible label Num Records and also known from his releases on Cadenza, Soma, Num, 60 Sec and many others, hooks up with the young rising newcomer, Dachshund, who is also already known from his releases on Num, Num Ltd and 60 Sec. The two Swiss heroes deliver us two impressive cuts which will send us on a creamy road. A1. 'Confusion Is Sex.' The groove here catches you after the first kick drum and promises a lot more with its sparkling sounds and noises around the pumping, never-ending Swiss rhythms. Catchy hats and snares play dominoes and after a while the Detroit-y touch gets upfront. Futuristic, grooving as hell and incredibly organic, like your mango juice at home!! B1. 'So What.' Deep like 4000 miles under the earth and shiny like the sunrise in Vietnam, we're proud to have this monster cut-up here. Modern rhythms and sound pieces perfect for the beach as well as for the hot summer nights at any place, dreaming sounds and spaced-out Detroit chords that reach another level of deepness. Don't forget to open your eyes again."
