Berlin-based synth-wave band Dina Summer returns with their highly anticipated second album Girls Gang. Donning a decadent sound described by Resident Advisor as "dark disco meets EBM," Dina Summer is a collaborative project formed of electro-punk band Frittenbude member Kalipo and dark-disco DJ and producer duo Local Suicide. Their previous work includes the critically acclaimed 2022 album Rimini, which offers a nostalgic dive into retro disco vibes, along with the 2021 EP Who Am I and 2024 EP Hide & Seek. They also contributed to Curses' Next Wave Acid Punx compilation, participated in Purple Mag x radiooooo's 2070 project, and performed at Reeperbahn Festival's prestigious "Collide Session." With millions of streams and worldwide radio airplay, Dina Summer's music has been supported by DJs like Charlotte De Witte, The Hacker, Âme, Dixon, Joris Voorn, DJ Hell, Joyce Muniz, and Dubfire. This new album is a versatile collection of 11 tracks that delve into themes such as empowerment ("No More Tears" and "Girls Gang"), outsiderhood ("Alien" and "Zombie"), impermanence ("Promise," featuring Curses and Joshua Murphy), nostalgia ("Halkidiki"), and relationships ("Nothing To Hide" and "Hypnotized"). While their debut album was characterized by its club-centric sound, drawing from Italo disco and '90s electro influences, this new release explores a richer palette of new wave, post-punk, and synth-pop.

Limited numbered and stamped color vinyl (white) in black outersleeve with sticker. Prepare to be transported into a realm of sonic enchantment with the forthcoming release from Berlin's renowned Iptamenos Discos. Boys' Shorts, the dynamic queer duo hailing from Greece, comprised of Vangelis (formerly of LAGASTA) and London based Tareq, unveil their EP Something To Forget accompanied by captivating remixes from Gabe Gurnsey and Whitesquare. Following their successful New Era EP which was on high rotation on Berlin's RBB Radioeins, and lending their remix skills to Local Suicide on their Eros Anikate album, Boys' Shorts are yet again back on Iptamenos Discos. "Something To Forget," the first single and title track starts with a strong kick and a prominent snare which punches through the mix and becomes a driving force which anchors the track. The bouncy and energetic bassline is contrasted with lyrics which are somewhat melancholic, however they are performed in a way that gives them an underlying sense of optimism. The extremely talented producer Gabe Gurnsey, a regular on Phantasy Sound and member of Factory Floor, puts forward a dancefloor focused remix of "Something To Forget," which ups the tempo and shifts the focus to the bassline, teasing snippets of the vocals initially and only letting them play out in full for a moment after the break. "Flying Away" features washed out synths packed with reverb and dreamy emotion filled vocals that float around your head, and toe the line between happy and sad, never quite landing on either and leaving it up to the listener for interpretation. Roman DJ and producer, Whitesquare is on remix duties for "Flying Away" and throws away all questions of what tone the track will follow with the introduction of a euphoric and nostalgic piano melody in the breakdown, that will bring a smile to everyone's face and a wave of positive energy over any dancefloor. Something To Forget is sure to be a revered release by Boys' Shorts and another exciting addition to the Iptamenos Discos catalogue.

LP version. White vinyl. Local Suicide present their long-awaited debut album Eros Anikate via their own label, Iptamenos Discos. The title translates to "love invincible" and draws influence from a play written by Sophocles titled Antigone. The album holds true to the duo's "technodisco" sound that the couple has become so well known for and showcases their signature style of blending a retro feeling with a modern twist. In usual Local Suicide fashion, the duo's debut album showcases tongue in cheek modern-day circumstances, mystical adventures, and moody baselines; all tied up with the promises of happy endings. You can instantly hear that this album comes from the duo's hearts. Inspired by the travels and experiences they encountered throughout the pandemic, it's also a love letter to the friends they met during their career -- some of which are also featured on the album: Lee Stevens, Curses, The Hidden Cameras, Sissi Rada, Skelesys, Theus Mago, Hard Ton, Kalipo, and Greek new wave legend Lena Platonos. The producer couple has had a stunning amount of press coverage from leading electronic mags for their 13 EPs, numerous tracks on compilations, and remixes since 2014 on acclaimed labels, while Beatport declared them as one of the key figures in the uprising dark disco scene. They also recently played themselves in Fett & Fett, a series broadcasted on German national TV station ZDF, in which their musical productions were featured extensively as well. Their DJ career has carried them to all four corners of the world, from Europe, Asia and North Africa to South America and the United States, whipping crowds into a frenzy at Lollapalooza, Melt!, ADE, Off Sonar, Festival Forte, Berlin Festival and many more. Their live cuts have been honed to perfection with years of shows alongside the very best in the scene, even being invited by New Order to warm up for their live show in Berlin.
