Next up on JD Records is Fix featuring Orlando Voorn and Blake Baxter. Some more classic house is on the menu here, starting off with "From the Ghetto," which is a strong hypno-groove house-banger. On the remix you'll find Barcelona's man of the moment, Baldo. On the other side is "Here We Are," which is a deep groovin' and warm Detroit-sounding house track. The remix treatment is from another one of Barcelona's new emerging talents, Clip!. Here he gives us a brilliant new version featuring all the right Detroit elements.

JDR 003X-EP

"I said emotional content, not anger, bitch!" There you have it, the opening phrase from this Detroit house mega-classic by Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann. This Terrence Parker remix was originally released back in the mid-'90s and since then vanished from the record store shelves for more than 10 years. Now JD Records with kind permission from Intangible Records and Soundworks are happy to give this beautiful and timeless piece of music history new life with a re-mastered version. One-sided 12" with original remix only [the previously announced 4-track EP (JDR 003EP: 827170503960) has been cancelled].

JD 001EP

JD Records is an underground house label based in Barcelona and operated by Jimi Disko from Subwax Bcn. This very first release is produced by Lay-Far, a Moscow-based DJ/producer. His sound is a vivid fusion of dance rhythms, deeply rooted in jazz, funk, and soul. The EP is a collection of one of the earliest tracks from Lay-Far, specially reworked for the release, one of his latest tracks -- a manifestation of personal freedom, and a great remix from the Detroit house legend Terrence Parker himself.
