Milan-based imprint Just This present Cristalli Ionici EP, a four-tracker from Italian duo Abstrakt featuring a Marcel Fengler remix. Abstrakt is a collaborative project from Luca Rambelli and Filippo Scorcucchi concerned with the intense study of spatial timbres. A relatively new endeavor, their debut on Just This offers an expertly crafted voyage into the outer reaches of the imagination. Sonically, the EP files under ambient techno, brandishing swirling textures and tangible effects to create a blissful meditative state. For his remix of the title track, Marcel Fengler places the subtle complexion of the original inside a driving rhythmic pattern.

Milan-based collective Just This continue their mission into the darkest territories of electronic music with the Evolution EP from Hill Of Vision, featuring an Alex.Do remix. Title track is a bleak, disorienting journey through muffled acoustics and gloomy surroundings narrated by an eerie vocal. For his remix, Alex.Do reinterprets the tension of the original into a floating dancefloor weapon. "Signs" is a stripped-back swirl of strange melodic inflections and cyclical effects, whilst "Land Of Vision" dissects the framework of atypical techno into an immersive doomsday soundtrack.

Dutch duo Abstract Division (aka Paul Boex and Dave Miller) present Aftermath EP, a four-tracker on Milan-based label, Just This. Featured in the release are remixes from Peter Van Hoesen and VRIL. Title track is a subtle dancefloor killer with funky cyclic rhythms and peculiar harmonies, followed by "Isolated", a subdued yet dizzying dose of syncopated drums and crystalline melodic inflections. For his interpretation of "Isolated", VRIL mutates the stripped back hypnotism of the original, whilst Peter Van Hoesen focuses on the dizzying loops of the original, re-purposing them into an immersive spiral of funk driven techno.

Milan-based collective Just This present the Absolute Infinity EP, a joint release from Netherlands-based producers Sinfol and Octual. Featured in this package are two remixes from Gerd Janson prescribing a heavy dose of acid. Title track is a stripped back groove with a looping synth lead that wanders through ricocheting drums. For his first remix Gerd muffles the framework of the original, making room for a floating melody and warm lead, whilst the "Acid Only" version takes the components of the original and throws them into a bath full of acid. "Wire" is a moody dancefloor cut for the after-hours.

Milan based collective Just This return with two VA releases to continue their Broken Promises series. Each release in the series features four new tracks that channel refined techno with minimalist, ambient sentiments. Part 4 opens with a shuffling rhythmic framework on Inland's "Aechmea", followed by "Zona", a pointillist groove by Ben Gibson, aka one half of the collaborative project Dyad. On My Flower's "Kundal", a cyclical melody wanders through eerie acoustics whilst Hiver navigates a broken beat framework with glitchy distortions and dub echoes on "Stellar Parallax Landing".

Just This's Broken Promises series aims to mix sounds by producers from different countries, to create a journey into a variegated world. Melancholic vibes, deep ambient atmospheres. The EP is composed of four tracks, starting with a Hunter/Game instrumental track "Distance", a crescendo introducing the club scenario. The second track digs into a vibrant groove from Architectural. "Electric Soul" is a chemical mix between powerful percussions and a stunning synthesizer sequence. Running through a Just This classic "Anterial" from Pisetzky, clear sound identity from the Milan crew, ending with a melodic flow from town new talent Altman.

The Italian producer Somne, whose real name is Federico Maccherone, presents his first release of 2017 -- a solo EP marries ethereal, wide-angle synthesis and intricate drum. Nods to classic IDM and ambient sit at the periphery of the recordings, although the main focus is on the propulsive, contemporary techno derivatives -- from warping, half-time opener "Divided Love" -- through to the exacting, peak-time drive of "Endgame". The original version of "Metropolis" conjures up a distinctly brooding sentiment -- a quintessential example of rolling, contemporary electronica, whilst the "Alternate Mix" offers a more direct, cathartic interpretation.

The next EP on Just This comes from Octual, an established figure on the Dutch underground techno circuit. His third release to date is an exploration in melody and beat composition -- a journey through uncharted territory. "Jupiter's Moon" presents a fleeting view of different landscapes -- claps and hi-hats depict the lights and shadows of a sublunary word. "Untold Places" reaches an otherworldly place where rhythm and meter counteract each other and obscure sounds sway us in and out of reality. Amsterdam based electronic pioneer Sterac provides two remixes, analyzing and repurposing the molecular details of Octual's productions.

Pisetzky's full-length debut album on Just This, Tears Of A Rough Machine, is an exploration in contemporary techno music, fine ambient works, and unique broken pieces. An intense mixture of warmth, weird fluffiness, mystic trumpets, and high uplifts, the album is interspersed with short ambient and fragmented interludes, each just a few minutes long. "State Of Consciousness" and "Tears Of A Rough Machine" are serene and reflective tracks that give the listener time to breathe, bringing him/her back to more dancefloor-focused tracks of the LP, like "Viridis", "Bakwas", and "Wand". The result is a magic story, a history in eleven chapters that the listener is guided through, like the landscapes of a mystic journey, with a twist on the melodies and hidden effects behind every deep bass sound. Mixed and mastered by Neel at Enisslab Studio, Rome.

After releasing their debut full-length Adaptation on Kompakt (KOMP 129CD/KOM 337LP, 2016), Hunter/Game return to Just This with another immersive offering. On the Dead Soul EP, the duo continue to refine their expressive yet subtly arranged sound. The title track unfolds slowly, sculpting the melody, texture, and suspense. Joey Anderson's take on "Dead Soul" is airy and atmospheric without losing its pulsing flow. "Isolation" covers a broad spectrum and is filled with contrasts in which an intense bass interacts with a delicate and breathy melody. Balance is key to Hunter/Game's music and this EP is no exception.

Landside is the collaboration between Italian producers Hunter/Game and the Icelandic band Kúra. The sound draws as much from the deep vibe and melancholy ambience of Kúra's reflective, dubby moods, as it does from the more insistent groove of Hunter/Game's dancefloor roots. With four releases under their belt and more to follow, Landside are primed to get a remix EP. From the stormy modulated chords of Robert Hood and trickling pads crafted by Etapp Kyle, to the dystopian narratives expressed by Bambounou and Edanticonf, the re-visionings provide additional star-power to what is already a fine, shimmering series.

Landside is the collaboration between Italian producers Hunter/Game and the Icelandic band Kúra. Signs Of Change EP is the fourth chapter of Landside's journey through diverse sound researches that cross over to industrial ambience, basslines and a whirling melody accompanied by a crescendo of sonorities. "Distance" is a throwback voyage in a melodic orchestra of ethnic sonorities. Luke Hess provides a remix, turning "Signs Of Change" into dub techno. Kelpe's remix of "Signs Of Change" is a deep and dream-like hazy trip, accompanied by trippy melodies.

Milan based Just This present their second various artists release Broken Promises Part 2, which reaches the dancefloor in a hard and deep way. ''Inside World'' by Hunter/Game, is a playful banger with a solid kick, brushed percussions and surging, subtly atmospheric synth pads. Pisetzky's "Self Dimension" comes with a strong, continuous 4/4 bassline and organic percussion, further on dominated by a hypnotic melody followed by a more romantic and dreamy motif. Altman's "Assault" has a breaking mellow downbeat theme, it lets all squeaky sounds mesh nicely like a dream landscape opening up into a widescreen chord progression.

Just This's Broken Promises aims to the research of a mix of sounds by producers from different countries. "Perù" is a fine production born from the collaboration between Tom Trago and Pisetzky, a blowing wind from overseas, a shiny path into a flashing jungle, a merge of their different styles that combine in a magic theme. "Mondo 8" from Eduardo Della Calle is a constant beat that hits straight to the point with a hypnotic melody and raw vibe. "Dry Riser" from Kelpe expresses his unique unclassified genre, with an un-springy flow and vintage ambient atmospheres.

Pisetzky's "Elevation," a collaboration with Primal, was produced in the desolate outskirts of Copenhagen. It's a strong melting pot of numerous energies with its expansive arpeggios, icy melodies, and grand break. "Hide," an enthralling voyage through soulful psychedelia and dark atmospheric synth explorations. Distant Echoes' remix of "Elevation" is an acid-induced groove with a psychic rawness drawn by a strong techno base. Inland's remix of "Hide" is a techno adaptation of an abstract mystic journey, where melody surfaces shyly from behind a curtain of reverb and industrial drums to tell you its story.

Christian Löffler comes from a small city near the Baltic Sea. "Lost" in those landscapes, his music expresses a unique vibe that drifts from a dialogue with this inspiring nature. Walking "unknown" paths, he passes through mysterious boundaries of a mysterious soul. Lake People's interpretation of "Lost" is a strong melting pot of different energies, transporting the listener onto a stroboscopic basement dancefloor. Nuno dos Santos's remix of "Unknown" is a magnetic translation of a dialogue between soulful ambience and dark atmospheres. Hidden voices whisper melancholic anthems in a never-ending night.

Landside Part 2 continues the journey begun on Landside Part 1 (JT 004EP, 2015); Extrawelt's remix of "Wasteland" dances between dub emotion and breakbeats on a visionary path through soundscapes and abstract atmospheres. Avatism remixes "Lost Soul" with a solid groove and techno base that tease the track to an intense, breathless flow.

Pisetzky loves to get deep into basslines of different sound dimensions, moving hearts and minds. In 2010, as Fabiano Valli, he began working as a sound designer for fashion brands. In late 2013, inspired by a growing Milanese techno scene, he adopted the Pisetzky moniker and became involved with Just This. He has performed at the biggest European festivals (Off Sonar, ADE, Amore, Barrakud) and the finest clubs and parties. In the darkness of his studio or on the hottest dancefloors, Pisetzky shakes souls and bodies deeply with his dogged rhythms. This EP includes remixes by Locked Groove and Thomalla.
