Hundreds, the duo of siblings Eva and Philipp Milner, has been turning heads since its 2010 debut album with its haunting mix of distant electronica and warm vocals. This EP features remixes of tracks from the duo's 2014 album Aftermath. Robag Wruhme reduces the broad, cinematic "Aftermath" to its core; The/Das delivers a dusky remix of "Please Rewind," with a menacing beat and a compelling undertow of sharp drones; Christian Löffler adds a weightless, shimmering melancholy to "Ten Headed Beast;" and Brandt Brauer Frick closes with an enthralling remix of "Rabbits On the Roof," breaking out into an orchestral bang.

Lake People's Point EP outlines the idea of an album and manages to unfold a climax. While the opener "Point in Time" delivers a playful, floating-hypnotic depth, "Tipping Point" chills the dancefloor with a relaxed groove. The B-side shows a much darker character than his previous releases. With unconventional sound-frameworks it oscillates between electronica, ambient, and IDM. In addition to remixes for Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Nico Stojan, and Here Is Why, this EP demonstrates the great diversity of styles pursued by Lake People.

Alftavatn is Thomalla's second EP release on Berlin-based techno label Krakatau Records. The tracks captivate instantly and still surprise with imaginative variety, sudden shifts and dazzling timbre. His tracks unite artistic and dancefloor-compatible appeal, and the Alftavatn EP articulates his forward-looking interpretation of electronic music, embedded in references to his own eclectic education. Techno without thought-control.

Bodi Bill releases two exciting remixes of their hit-single What on their own label, Krakatau. Apparat and Thomalla have chosen the smoothest and breeziest track of the album to rework it with verve and experimentalism. The tracks differ considerably, and yet there are parallels between both artists: they share a vision, an affinity for progressiveness and audible enthusiasm in each track. This record gathers pop and electronic avant-garde that reaches the boundaries of rhythmics and harmony.

Freedarich's Lava Boy sashays, floats and whispers, but at the same time, it rushes forwards and rejoices. One moment, it's the calm ripple of the surf, in the next, it's screaming, furious waves breaking on a rock. The music is the tranquility of the landscape and the agitation of the city. It's the pulse of the club, the urge to dance. Eventually, the sounds fade away and bequeath a soft sense of melancholy: did minutes pass, or was it hours?
