LEYLA 004EP
Positive Centre presents an intense EP from the sonic depths of his wayward imagination, with each side closed by a locked groove. "Blank Hand" is a sludge-fueled walk into dusty audio bites and asthmatic rhythms topped with screaming hoovers and TV static and "Body Molecule" pins a rushing pad and sparkling percussion to a rolling kick pattern before the deep, distorted kick of the first locked groove loops into infinity. "Angular Beautifault" blends acidic rhythms and buzz-saw synths before the uncompromising, fast-paced assault of "The Burin" and the distorted sub loop of the closing locked groove.

LEYLA 003EP
Four uncompromising tracks from English duo Witch. "Zpkf" is a hypnotizing production that erupts into a cacophonous battle between rhythm and leads, leaving the listener stranded on the dancefloor, unable to do anything but move forward into the music. "Okhstk" takes a more traditional approach, though the sound remains just as rugged, with distortion obscuring the edges of the rhythm while melodic pressure mounts. "Flec" starts with a steady, marching rhythm, the distorted kick drum somewhere in the listener's vicinity... until it's suddenly front-and-center, inescapable. "Vosmr" is another slow-building, buzzing production that lures you in and swallows you whole.

LEYLA 002EP
The second release on Leyla Records is a meeting of techno minds -- the UK's Joe Farr and Martyn Hare deliver three blistering cuts shaped from a classic British industrial mold. "The Inside" is a workout for the body and mind. A mournful lead rises over a subtly skittish rhythm as the pressure builds toward an ecstatic yet impossible release. On "Go Fourth," icy, angular melodies grate against rock-solid foundations in a series of switches that keep the listener on the edge. "Safe Mode" closes proceedings with a gentler touch, a meditative moment full of rhythmic flourishes.

LEYLA 001EP
British producer Manni Dee presents the first release on Amsterdam-based label Leyla, a bristling four-track EP that represents the label's dedication to classic techno with a modernist twist. With previous releases on Black Sun Records and Perc Trax, as well as support from the likes of Surgeon, Manni is the perfect artist for Leyla's inaugural release. From the blistering roll-out of "Symbiotic" to the hypnotic pound of "Bring the Brave In," the swung rhythm of "Pascal's Gambit," and the cavernous inferno of "I Was Desire," Human Image is a reflection of the bodily pleasures of techno.
