"Lilith Recordings are honoured to welcome one of techno's most respected tastemakers for the label's fourth release. Michel De Hey has been at the centre of the Netherlands' dance scene ever since he began DJing in Rotterdam in 1986. Those glittering credentials are burnished even brighter with De Hey's new tracks for Lilith Recordings. Co-produced with his long time studio associate MIRKO, 'Farley Johnson' is a low-slung groover where the funk flows freely through the sassy wiggle of the bassline to the sprightly melodic loops. Meanwhile, 'Rose' begins with a mysterious early morning vibe, before blooming into an electronic supernova like the sun exploding on the horizon. Coming from Johannesburg via New York, the remix add an extra global element to this release. Born in South Africa and now resident in New York, where he has become Francois K's protégé with his releases as Beat Pharmacy and A&R role at the Deep Space label, Brendon Moeller turns in a shadowy dub version of 'Farley Johnson.' Spreading their net ever further with each new release, these tracks confirm Lilith Recordings' position at the vanguard of the international techno scene."

"Learning his trade at the Planet Funk studios in the late '90s, Abyss' Passion EP displays all the hallmarks of a master craftsman already glimpsed on Abyss' 'Mind Games' track for Buzzin' Fly and last year's Skim/Shaker/Dirty Colours EP with Lilith label head Remo on Forensic Records, both of which caught the ear of Jerome Sydenham, who recently signed him to Ibadan Recordings. 'Passion' is a very personal statement from Guiseppe, who suffered from a temporary disease which required him to spend a prolonged time in the hospital. Creating music is his way of maintaining a normal life in between his spells of treatment, something he hopes will both inspire others and gives the carefully-orchestrated and ever-shifting moods of the title track a profound emotional quality.'Memories' meanwhile is house music at its most tense and hypnotic, with Guiseppe's exquisite sense of detail apparent in the build from the stark opening to the dramatic string-laden crescendo. Lilith's spirit of international co-operation has seen them seek out Swedish producer Linus Eklow aka Style Of Eye, the man behind recent releases on Dirtybird and Pickadoll, to remix 'Passion.' Taking Abyss' original to an altogether wilder place, with an expansive breakdown and eerie echoes from the darker fringes of the dancefloor, Style Of Eye proves why he is regarded as one of the most innovative producers today and thus a kindred spirit to both Lilith and Abyss."
