Berlin-based label Müller Records has a long and proud tradition of high-quality releases. It also has a strong track record in sniffing out up-and-coming talent -- acts like Berliner Falk Romstedt, alias Hawkinson. His EPs and remixes had already shown that he was equally at home creating techno with a driving groove as he was knocking out strong and detailed synth melodies. Now his first LP is being released on Müller Records. KLAF, put succinctly, is an album that picks up the style of Hawkinson's previous singles and runs with it. It's a story written by the dancefloor, for the dancefloor. Hawkinson processes the experiences and emotions he's had over the past few years both as consumer and DJ and really shows us where his roots lie -- in techno. The influence of Detroit is all over this record and can be heard straight away, with strings, melodies and soulful surfaces drawing you in immediately. Added to that are the big, fat, pumping grooves, deep bass lines, chords and distinctly clattering hi-hats and percussions that are at the heart of Hawkinson's sound. He doesn't try to transcend other genre pigeonholes and is happy instead to showcase his own highly personal spectrum of sounds. Listeners to these 11 tracks can expect to take a trip into a wonderful sound universe, full of power and, more importantly, soul, which is transported directly to the dancefloor.

This is the fourth full-length album from Frank Mueller and Ulrich Schnauss aka Beroshima. Since 2004, the duo has put their focus on their solo projects. Schnauss earned worldwide respect for his electronica works while Frank joined different projects as a producer and put his focus on his live performance and DJ works. Frank and Ulrich started to work together again as Beroshima for some upcoming releases. Following a string of EPs and remixes, the fourth Beroshima album was long overdue. It continues to explore the stylistic frame defined by their successful releases on Cocoon, Soma and Mueller Records and yet manages to surpass the expectations set by these skillfully-crafted productions. Beroshima defy genre boundaries and incorporate a wide range of sonic colors out of a studio filled with current and vintage equipment while also drawing from long-term experience on the live and DJ circuit. Ten tracks that deliver state-of-the-art dance music with more than just a touch of funk which never loses the spirit of exploration.

Mueller Records presents a mini-album from Japan's matador of techno, Takkyu Ishino -- previously released only in Japan in 2010 on Ki/oon Records/Loopa. Ishino is a multi-tasker responsible for countless projects and productions including Denki Groove, Berlin Trax, and the Wire Festival (Asia's biggest indoor festival). He formed Denki Groove together with Pierre Taki and other musicians back in 1989. Takkyu released his first solo album Dove Loves Dub in 1995, and began performing as a professional DJ around the same time. His DJ craftsmanship has been widely demonstrated in Europe since 1997. Since 1999, he has been organizing the event Wire, which has now become the biggest indoor techno rave in Japan, gathering more than 10,000 people a year. In 2002, he made some remarkable works such as a remix of "Anthem," the official theme of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan written by Vangelis, and also the music for the theatrical stand-up comedy "Papa Semplicita" by City Boys, three big-name comedians in Japan. In 2003, Takkyu started hosting a regular party "Sterne" at the club Womb in Shibuya, for which he serves as a resident DJ, and one of its live sets was released as a DJ mix CD called In The Box - Live At Womb Tokyo. Around this time, Takkyu founded the indie label, Platik. In 2006, he formed the unit InK with Hiroshi Kawanabe and released two albums. Cruise has been unavailable outside of Japan, until now, and Mueller Records plans to release more music from this outstanding artist. Takkyu has been on the scene since the early days plying his club-tools and funky techno throughout Japan. Here's your chance to grab one of Japan's best-selling techno records with one exclusive track, especially for the Mueller label.
