Transparent red and opaque yellow vinyl. "Devo, captured live in Oakland, performing early experimental tracks written between 1974 and 1977, prior to any label deal or public success. No matter how messy, beginnings are exciting. Especially when what happens next endures the test of time. For Devo, the beginning happened in the basements and garages of Akron, Ohio. The songs they wrote were raw and unfiltered with no commercial intent. They called it Hardcore Devo. Performing 21 oddities, this is a tribute to departed, original Devo bandmate, Robert 'Bob 2' Casale. Recorded live on June 28, 2014 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California. This repress is on red (disc 1) and yellow (disc 2) and is limited to 500 copies."

"Reissued for 2014 on limited clear vinyl. This vinyl only release contains audio selections from the DVD release Live CBGB 1982. Sure it sounds confusing, but the material on the CD and LP, while culled from the same series of live shows around Christmas 1982 at CBGBs, is completely different. Includes blazingly awesome live versions of 'FVK,' 'How Low Can a Punk Get,' and more."

"Musically, it's difficult to describe this diverse album. There is a silky, seductive, and murky aspect which creates a supporting liquid background upon which the lyrics float. There is a balance between the music and the lyrics. They never step on each other as they take turns moving in and out of the foreground. The lyrics play a very dominant role on this album. They are like rhyming instruments that project pictures before our eyes. A style emerges in the imagery and in the lyric rhythm. The Residents use words for the sake of their sounds, and for how they feel when leaving the tongue."

"The Residents had passed their own punk stage in 1976 with the release of Satisfaction and were feeling that 1979 disco, while using the studio in new ways, did not actually offer much in the way of depth. So they decided it was a good time to make the jump into world music, since by their own calculations it was not to become popular for several more years. They scanned the map for a proper culture to exploit. Immediately they realized the North Pole had been overlooked because it is made of ice and therefore not on a world map."

"The Residents' fourth album back on vinyl! Recorded in 1976, Fingerprince is The Residents' fourth album. However, when it was being recorded it was not called Fingerprince. In 1976 it was called Tourniquet of Roses and was so long that it would have consumed three LP sides. The album was cut back to the standard length of two sides, which was renamed Fingerprince. Thanks to the length of CD, the original Tourniquet of Roses was restored. The title Fingerprince is still in use for the longer version however. Vinyl version includes digital download card featuring everything on the CD version!"

"The Residents' third album, originally released in 1976. People have speculated whether the Residents were hinting that rock 'n' roll has brain-washed the youth of the world. When confronted with this possibility, they replied, 'Well, it may be true or it may not, but we just wanted to kick out the jams and get it on.' The Third Reich 'n' Roll consists of two suites, Swastikas on Parade and Hitler was a Vegetarian. Both are semi-phonetic interpretations of top forty hits from the sixties. 'Our roots,' say the Residents, a bright orange carrot clutched lovingly in their hands."

"A million years ago, a big rock fell out of the sky and landed right in the middle of Louisiana. Well, it wasn't Louisiana at that time. But that rock fell, and it hit hard making a giant dent. It gradually filled in but no matter what, it still left a dent. And that dent held just enough water that it became a primeval swamp known as Coochie Brake. Some young guys used to camp in Coochie Brake. They climbed the massive granite boulders that common sense said should not be there. They explored the caves. They sat still and let the Brake speak to them as only the Brake can. Those teens grew up to become the Residents."

Last copies, deleted version. "Hard driving riff rock, Meat Puppets style. Huevos was recorded in four days and released less than six months after Mirage. But where that album was spacey and lush, Huevos is rough and spontaneous. For this edition, the album has been expanded to include five additional tracks, featuring early demos of 'Sexy Music,''Paradise,''Fruit,'and 'Automatic Mojo,' as well as a cover of Jimmy Reed's 'Baby What Do You Want Me to Do.'"

Last copies, deleted version. "Meat Puppets II was a 180-degree departure from its predecessor, confusing old fans and creating new ones. Kurt Loder gave it a four-star review in Rolling Stone, calling it 'one of the funniest and most enjoyable albums of 1984', while a bewildered Robert Hilburn proclaimed the Puppets 'far more of an acquired promising though willfully unfocused rock act' in the Los Angeles Times. For this reissue, the album has been expanded to include seven additional tracks."

LP version. "Reissue of the Residents' classic debut originally released on Ralph Records in 1974. The whole, bizarre Residents trip started here (at least officially). Mixing everything from Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart to Raymond Scott and Sun Ra in the world's most bizarre blender, this one is the place to start in the wild and weird world of the Residents."
