MYTH 004EP
|
Myth Music returns with the Urgency Grip EP by s:vt aka Sven von Thülen, including a remix from White Material's Young Male. The four-track EP shifts between pulsing bass tones, robo-rhythmic drum grooves, and sleek Detroit-inspired sequences, making it a perfect addition to the Myth Music family.

MYTH 003EP

Dorisburg (real name Alexander Berg), better known as half of the Swedish duo Genius of Time, is the first external producer to appear on Baron Castle (Boiler Room Berlin) and Lando's Myth Music. Dorisburg's releases on Swedish labels Bossmusik and Northern Electronics and his own Aniara Recordings have confirmed him as one of the most hyped producers in the European game. With one original track, this bold dagger-like workout might be some of his strongest work to date. On the B-side, Lando turns this animated groove into a cold-blooded stomper, dripping in his vintage freaky style.

MYTH 002EP

"No Matter (Where You Are)" embodies the primitive hypnotizing rhythms that Lando's releases are known for. He then drops listeners into the deep end with the dubbed-out, subaquatic groove that is "Posse Form." On the other side of the record (and the galaxy) you can find "Abaraxas II," the new national anthem of utopian Neptune. Preceding this otherworldly communication, however, is the B1, "Insyde," which is somehow the hidden surprise on the record. To best describe this sweaty bassline workout it might be best to just quote DVS1... "Lando has the funk!"

MYTH 001EP
|
Myth Music is a new label formed by Lando (formerly Lando Kal, real name Antaeus Lando Roy) and Baron Castle (Aaron Castle), who also helps run Boiler Room Berlin and Hotflush Recordings. The debut Myth release from Lando highlights his shift towards the Detroit side of techno. The title-track bounces along to a demanding tension. "Altered Maze" seems to contrast that as a rolling, deeper number, but without losing the funk that Lando's sets are famous for. "Purple Home" features Lando's signature work on the 909, along with a remix from the Dutch duo Will & Ink, who turn it into a big room peak-time stomper.
