Truth is the new album by Asimov, the incredible heavy-psych duo from Portugal. Asimov are famous for their storming live shows at famous festivals like Reverence Valada and Barreiro Rocks and for supporting big neo-psych names like The Cosmic Dead, Pink Mountaintops, and Endless Boogie. You won't believe how just two guys can create such a brutal sound. Echoes of Blue Cheer, Hawkwind, Tractor, Black Sabbath, Iron Butterfly, and Pink Fairies, spiced with doses of kraut, doom, drone and space-rock. Comes in a gatefold sleeve.

Ángeles De Opio was an underground heavy-psych power trio formed in 2005 by Spanish guitar god JC Sisto (Mater Dronic, Shakti's Delirium) plus Sergio and Adrián Ceballos (RIP KC, Melange). This project was born just after Sisto released his psych opus, Mundo Espectro, under the Mater Dronic name in 2005. Ángeles de Opio ("Opium Angels") played only a few shows, being ignored by virtually everyone, as their extreme, heavy psychedelic jamming & improvised sound was too much for Spanish audiences at the time. In 2006, some of their private, raw recordings saw the light under the name Fuzzy Lady (probably a wink to obscure psych bands like Wicked Lady and Fuzzy Duck) but only as homemade CDs which circulated between "those in the know" at the time. For the first time on vinyl, we present some of those recordings. Two side-long tracks of wild acid-fuzz-wah guitar jamming. You all know that JC Sisto is a killer guitar player but on these recordings he pushes his guitar to the stratosphere without any limits. 100% acid-fried guitar damage which brings to mind fellow Japanese travellers like High Rise or Mainliner and '70s hard-rock beasts like Stoned Guitar era Human Instinct. File under: Loud-In-Your-Face-Heavy-Psychedelic-Rock.

2023 restock. Munehiro Narita, the original "psychedelic speed freak," is for many people the undisputed king of acid-fuzz guitar. Active since the late '70s, Narita is a Japanese psychedelic underground legend. After playing in cult bands like Kyoaku no Intention, he founded the brutal heavy-psych power trio High Rise in the '80s. His furious guitar playing, which involves lethal doses of fuzz-wah at earsplitting volume, can also be heard on his current band Green Flames (featuring Mitsuru Tabata from Acid Mothers Temple). In 2014 Narita released a Japanese-only CD titled Psyche De Loid, doing heavy guitar fuzzed-out covers of classic psych songs from the '60s/'70s. But Psyche De Loid was also the first-ever psychedelic album recorded using Vocaloid technology. Very popular in Japan, Vocaloid is a software/singing synthesizer -- one enters the lyrics of a song into the program and adds music to generate a Vocaloid -- or "Vocal Android" -- which sing in bizarre, mostly female, android-type vocals. Vocaloid is often associated with J-pop but on Psyche De Loid Narita smashes this genre into a wall with the contrast of killer, Ron Asheton-like piercing fuzz-wah guitar and child-like android vocals, featuring surreal covers of tracks by The Stooges, Hendrix, Blue Cheer, Shocking Blue, Pink Floyd, MC5, Jefferson Airplane. . . . Previously available as a Japanese-only CD, this is the first-ever vinyl edition with new artwork.

2023 restock, reduced price. After many years of putting out strictly vintage '60s/'70s/'80s reissues, Guerssen inaugurates its New Records imprint and (again) begins releasing albums from current bands that the label truly loves. New Records focuses on '90s-and-beyond psychedelia, hard rock, folk, progressive, etc. Listeners can expect Guerssen's usual attention to detail and nice artwork designs. The first release on New Records is the first vinyl edition, with new artwork, of Japanese band Khola Cosmica's overlooked 2011 self-titled CD. Hailing from Tokyo, Khola Cosmica are not your average "stoner rock" band. This brutal power trio plays some of the most extreme, psychedelic doom metal you can find. Long tracks featuring devastating, loud, in-your-face fuzz riffing, hypnotic drones, and dark atmospheres destined to destroy your mind. Remastered sound. Includes insert.
